The U.S. Post Office, also known as the Federal Building, is a post office and government building in Stockton, California.
The building is designed in a mixture of classical and moderne styles known as "starved classicism". The architecture firm of Bliss and Fairweather designed the building in 1931, and it was built in 1932–33. The building's construction was part of a federal construction program started by Herbert Hoover.
In addition to the post office, the building has housed a variety of other federal offices and is considered "a locally prominent symbol of the federal government". [2]

Rochester City Hall is a historic government building in Rochester in Monroe County, New York. Also known as the Federal Building and Old Post Office, the building was originally built for use by the federal government. It is a four-story, Richardsonian Romanesque style structure with an inner court and tower. It was built between 1885 and 1889 of heavy brown sandstone with a metal skeleton. It was expanded in 1893 and in 1907. The building was designed in part by architect Harvey Ellis under the Office of the Supervising Architect Mifflin E. Bell. The building has served as the City Hall since the 1970s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The U.S. Post Office, now known as the Springer Cultural Center, is a historic government building located at Randolph and Church Streets in Champaign, Illinois. Built in 1905, the building originally served as Champaign's post office. The office of Supervising Architect James Knox Taylor designed the Beaux-Arts building. The brick building features extensive limestone and terra cotta ornamentation. The front facade has four pairs of Ionic pilasters separating the entrance and two sets of windows. A frieze reading "UNITED STATES POST OFFICE" and a dentillated cornice run above the pilasters. A balustrade runs along the front edge of the roof; a large scrolled cartouche marks the center of the balustrade. In 1966, the post office was converted to a federal building.

The Tonopah Main Post Office, also known as US Post Office–Tonopah Main, is the main post office in Tonopah, Nevada. Built in 1941, the post office was the first and only federally constructed post office in the city. The post office was designed in a Starved Classical style typical of federal buildings of the era. The government began planning the post office in 1937, and its site was chosen in 1940. The building's cornerstone was laid in May 1941; a civic ceremony and parade marked the occasion. The post office opened for business on December 7, 1941, the same day as the attack on Pearl Harbor. In addition to serving as Tonopah's post office, the building also houses government offices in its basement.
