Wizja Pogoda was the first Polish TV weather channel. The channel started in 1998 and ceased in 2002.
The channel was co-produced by Wizja TV and The Weather Department. Weather forecasts were prepared using advanced computer technology based on data from some 6,000 meteorological stations worldwide. Forecasts were updated twice a day. Data was complemented by satellite images which were sent by a special link to a transmission facility in Maidstone, which were later sent back to the Polish facilities. In early 1999, about 800,000 viewers had access to the channel, of which only 55,000 were regular viewers. [1] The channel was liquidated in 2002 due to the merger of Wizja with Cyfra+
Initially, Wizja Pogoda was dividing the air time with National Geographic Channel and later with the Travel Channel. The program was broadcast from the morning until 1 pm (or until 2 pm when time-sharing with National Geographic Channel).
The station was available on the digital platform Wizja TV. The channel was one of the few that made the switch to Cyfra+ upon its merger, [2] but in April 2002, broadcasts ceased. [3]
The Weather Channel (TWC) is an American pay television channel owned by Weather Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The channel's headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia. Launched on May 2, 1982, the channel broadcasts weather forecasts and weather-related news and analysis, along with documentaries and entertainment programming related to weather. A sister network, Weatherscan, was a digital cable and satellite service that offered 24-hour automated local forecasts and radar imagery. Weatherscan was officially shut down on December 12, 2022. The Weather Channel also produces outsourced weathercasts, notably for CBS News and RFD-TV.
NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), also known as NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards, is an automated 24-hour network of VHF FM weather radio stations in the United States that broadcast weather information directly from a nearby National Weather Service office. The routine programming cycle includes local or regional weather forecasts, synopsis, climate summaries or zone/lake/coastal waters forecasts. During severe conditions the cycle is shortened into: hazardous weather outlooks, short-term forecasts, special weather statements or tropical weather summaries. It occasionally broadcasts other non-weather related events such as national security statements, natural disaster information, environmental and public safety statements, civil emergencies, fires, evacuation orders, and other hazards sourced from the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Emergency Alert System. NOAA Weather Radio uses automated broadcast technology that allows for the recycling of segments featured in one broadcast cycle into another and more regular updating of segments to each of the transmitters. It also speeds up the warning transmitting process.
WXIA-TV is a television station in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, affiliated with NBC. It is owned by Tegna Inc. alongside MyNetworkTV affiliate WATL. The two stations share studios at One Monroe Place on the north end of midtown Atlanta; WXIA-TV's transmitter is located in the city's east section, near Kirkwood. Atlanta is the largest television market where the NBC station is not owned and operated by the network.

Wizja Le Cinema was a Polish movie channel featuring famous and less known film productions from Europe and the rest of the world. Over the years, the owner, name, form and availability of the channel have changed. Initially, it was a channel of Wizja TV, available only on this platform and some cable networks. In fact, the channel only broadcast European films, though the productions from other parts of the world were rare on the channel. After merging Wizja TV with Cyfra+, the channel did not enter into the offer of the new platform. The name was also changed into Le Cinema and appeared in the rival Cyfrowy Polsat offer.
