The Singing Contest of Icelandic Junior Colleges is a yearly competition that has been held since 1990 on behalf of "The Icelandic Upper Secondary School Student Union". Each year, a preliminary competition is held in each college and then representatives from each school compete on the final evening of the main competition. The singing contest is usually held before the end of the school year.

She was also the former wife of American Nazi Party founder George Lincoln Rockwell.

Þórunn Erna Clausen is an Icelandic actress and songwriter.

Guðrún Erlendsdóttir is an Icelandic lawyer and judge. From 1970 to 1986, she was a professor at the law department of the University of Iceland, and was the first woman to be appointed to the Supreme Court, serving from 15 September 1982 to 30 June 1983, and again from 1 July 1986 to 15 April 2006. In 1991–92, she first served as president of the Supreme Court under a system of rotating presidencies, serving for a second term in 2002–03.

Bryndís Pétursdóttir was an Icelandic actress who performed on film, theatre, radio and television. She was a graduate of both the Verzlunarskóli Íslands and Lárus Pálsson's Drama School performed in multiple productions by the National Theatre of Iceland until 1998.
