The Grindavík men's football team is the men's football department of the Ungmennafélag Grindavíkur multi-sport club. It is based in Grindavík in south-west Iceland, and currently plays in the Lengjudeildin, The second tier in Icelandic football.
The Iceland national football team represents Iceland in men's international football. The team is controlled by the Football Association of Iceland, and have been a FIFA member since 1947 and a UEFA member since 1957. The team's nickname is Strákarnir okkar, which means Our Boys in Icelandic.

The six teams in this group played against each other on a home-and-away basis. The group winner Denmark qualified for the 17th FIFA World Cup held in South Korea and Japan. The runner-up Czech Republic advanced to the UEFA Play-off and played against Belgium. Denmark went through the group undefeated, but four draws - three in their first five matches - kept the Czech Republic in the hunt despite the latter shipping an unexpected loss to Iceland, which in turn kept Bulgaria in with a shout for second place. In fact, in the final round of matches, the Czechs were level with Bulgaria on points but delivered a 6-0 hammering: while Denmark, just two points ahead of the Czechs, thrashed Iceland by the same margin to maintain their lead in the group.

Trapped is an Icelandic television mystery drama series, created by Baltasar Kormákur and produced by RVK Studios. It was broadcast in Iceland on 27 December 2015 on RÚV. Co-written by Sigurjón Kjartansson and Clive Bradley, the first series of ten episodes follows Andri Ólafsson, the chief of police in a remote town in Iceland, solving the murder of a former townsman whose mutilated corpse is recovered by fishermen. The series was directed by Kormákur, Baldvin Z, Óskar Thor Axelsson and Börkur Sigthorsson.
