The 2024 season will be the San Francisco 49ers' upcoming 75th in the National Football League, their 79th overall, their eleventh playing their home games at Levi's Stadium and their eighth under the head coach/general manager tandem of Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch. They will enter the season as defending NFC Champions. This will be the team's first season since 2014 without defensive tackle Arik Armstead on the roster, as he was released on March 13.

They will attempt to improve on their 8–9 record from last year, make the playoffs after an eight-year absence, and end their eight-year AFC West title drought. This is their first season without Justin Simmons since 2015, as his contract was terminated on March 7.

The 2024 season will be the Green Bay Packers' upcoming 104th in the National Football League, their 106th overall, their seventh under the leadership of general manager Brian Gutekunst and their sixth under head coach Matt LaFleur. This will be the final full season for Mark Murphy as the team president and CEO as he is expected to retire in July of 2025 when he turns 70 years old.
