AXN Beyond was a pay television channel, owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment in the Asia-Pacific region. It was launched on January 1, 2008. [1]

History

The channel first launched on January 1, 2008 in Philippines through SkyCable. [2] Then it premiered in Singapore in May 27, 2008, [3] in Hong Kong on April 1, 2009, [4] in Indonesia in September 2009 [5] and in Malaysia on August 30, 2010. [6] The programming broadcast by the channel is centrated to paranormal, sci-fi, suspense, horror and mystery/fantasy. It ceased broadcasting on April 2, 2012, being replaced by BeTV. [7]

Diva was an English-language pay television channel in Singapore. It launched on 3 May 1995 as Hallmark Entertainment Network, along with E!, and was first owned by Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS). In 2010, as part of an agreement with NBCUniversal International Networks, the channel was renamed Diva Universal in 2010 and then Diva in 2014. It closed at the end of 2019 in anticipation of the launch of the streaming service Hayu in the region.

Originally launched in early 1990s as Star Sports and ESPN by Satellite Television Asian Region and ESPN International respectively, both parties agreed to combine their operations in Asia in October 1996. News Corporation took the full control of the venture in 2012, and relaunched the channels in two phases in January 2013 and August 2014, respectively.

Asia's Got Talent is a televised Asian talent show competition, and part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell. Produced and aired by AXN Asia, it was created in the wake of the successes of both America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent, and premiered on March 12, 2015, across 15 countries in Asia. For each season, a contestants of any age can audition for the televised contest with whatever talent they wish to demonstrate, with the winner receiving a prize of $100,000.
