Sony Channel (formerly Sony Entertainment Television) was a Southeast Asian pay television channel broadcasting to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. It was launched on 1 August 2008 as an entertainment channel, and adopted its current name on 15 October 2014.

Pay television or subscription television are subscription-based television services, usually provided by both analog and digital cable and satellite television, but also increasingly via digital terrestrial, IPTV and internet television. Subscription television began in the multi-channel transition and transitioned into the post-network era. Some parts of the world, notably in France, Latin America and the United States, have also offered encrypted analog terrestrial signals available for subscription.

As a part of a plan to relaunch BeTV as Gem, all non-Asian programmes on BeTV were moved to Sony Channel, effective 15 October 2014.

BeTV (Asia Pacific)

BeTV was a pay television channel, owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment in the Asia-Pacific region. Launched on 2 April 2012, it replaced AXN Beyond as a spin-off of AXN Asia and Sony Entertainment Television. Selected programs from AXN Philippines and SET were exclusively available in the Philippine feed of the channel.

Gem TV (Southeast Asia) Asian television channel

Gem TV Asia is a pay television channel owned by Sony Pictures Television, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment. The channel was first launched in Vietnam on 1 January 2014 and was subsequently rolled out in other countries in Southeast Asia. The channel broadcasts its programming either dubbed or subtitled in local languages.

After more than ten years of broadcast, Sony Channel ceased broadcast of across Asia including Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong and Singapore is on 1 June 2019 at midnight while in Indonesia and Thailand the channel will be also ceased a day earlier. The channel programmed with the final episode of  Superstore  on that day, an ending with the season four finale encore "Employee Appreciation Day" as one of the last express from the U. S. telecast including full season binge before going off-the-air while a final farewell on-screen message card and the words "Sony Channel has ceased broadcasting in Asia. We thank you for continual support." Most of the favourite programs of Sony Channel will also be shown on AXN.

<i>Superstore</i> (TV series) American comedy television series

Superstore is an American single-camera sitcom television series that premiered on NBC on November 30, 2015. The series was created by Justin Spitzer, and served as an executive producer for four seasons. Starring America Ferrera and Ben Feldman, Superstore follows a group of employees working at "Cloud 9,” store number 1217, a fictional big-box store in St. Louis, Missouri. The ensemble and supporting cast includes Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, Nichole Bloom, Mark McKinney, and Kaliko Kauahi.

Baby Daddy is an American sitcom created by Dan Berendsen that premiered on June 20, 2012 on ABC Family. The series follows Ben, a man in his twenties, who gets the surprise of his life when a one-night stand leaves his baby at his doorstep. Ben decides to raise his little girl with the help of his brother, Danny, his two close friends, Riley and Tucker, and his sometimes-overbearing mother, Bonnie. The show was inspired by the American film Three Men and a Baby which was released in 1987. Six seasons were produced in total, with the 100th, and final episode airing on May 22, 2017.

The series is an adaptation of the South Korean Grandpas Over Flowers series. The cast includes four "seasoned" North American celebrities William Shatner, Henry Winkler, George Foreman and Terry Bradshaw, accompanied by younger comedian Jeff Dye, as they travel overseas without luxuries, experiencing new cultures and checking off their bucket lists. AXN White Portuguese television channel

AXN White is a channel operated by Sony Pictures Television International Networks Europe. Its programming is focused on television series and movies. The channel was launched in Portugal on 14 April 2008 and in Spain on May 7, 2012 and replaced Sony Entertainment Television. The channel replaced AXN Crime on 1 October 2013 in Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Moldova. On October 3 2017 the channel was replaced by Sony Max in Hungary.

Legend Fighting Championship MMA promoter based in Hong Kong

Legend Fighting Championship started as a Hong Kong-based mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation which invited national champion fighters from throughout the Asia-Pacific to compete for regional supremacy. Legend was unique among MMA tournaments in that it focused exclusively on native Asia-Pacific fighters. The company was sold in April 2014 to Kwokman Productions. The promotion re-launched in September of 2018 as a China based organization.

Sony One is a subscription-based television channel owned by Sony Pictures Television, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment. It is available in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and Indonesia. It was launched on 1 October 2010 at 21:00 SST. On 1 December 2016, the channel was rebranded as Sony One, with a new logo based on the Sony Channel corporate image.

Television WAU is the second niche channel mainly aimed at young, active women in Slovakia. It is primarily a competitor for CME's channel TV Doma. The channel, which has launched on April 15, 2013, is owned by J&T Media Enterprises and has a reach of approximately 95% of the country's 5.4 million population. It broadcasts 24 hours per day.

Animax India Indian division of Animax Asia, a Japanese anime television channel

Animax India was the Indian division of Animax Asia, a Japanese anime television channel owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. This channel was a part of Japanese media conglomerate Sony. It was operated and broadcast from Singapore by Animax Asia and distributed by Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt. Ltd. It was also the first animation channel that targets the age 15–25 demographic and was the only channel in India to simulcast anime in the same week and on the same day as Japan. A secondary feed for Pakistan with subtitling and Pakistani-specific advertising also originated from SPN India.
