Adansi is the name of one of the states in the Asanteman.
The Ashanti Region is located in south Ghana and is third largest of 16 administrative regions, occupying a total land surface of 24,389 km2 (9,417 sq mi) or 10.2 per cent of the total land area of Ghana. In terms of population, however, it is the most populated region with a population of 4,780,380 according to the 2011 census, accounting for 19.4% of Ghana's total population. The Ashanti Region is known for its major gold bar and cocoa production. The largest city and regional capital is Kumasi.
New Edubiase is a small town and is the capital of Adansi South, a district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. it was formerly called the Adansi East district in the Ashanti Region. It shares boundaries on the north with Adansi North and the northeast with the Amansie East District and on the east side shares boundary with Birim East in the Eastern Region, share boundary with Obuasi Municipal from the west and the south with Assin North in the Central Region.
Ahafo Ano South District is a former district that was located in Ashanti Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988, which was created from the former Ahafo Ano District Council. However on 15 March 2018, it was split off into two new districts: Ahafo Ano South West District and Ahafo Ano South East District. The district assembly was located in the western part of Ashanti Region and had Mankranso as its capital town.
Asante Akim South Municipal District is one of the forty-three districts in Ashanti Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 as Asante Akim South District, which it was created from the former Asante Akim District Council. Later it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 15 March 2018. The municipality is located in the eastern part of Ashanti Region and has Juaso as its capital town.
Ejisu-Juaben Municipal District is a former district that was located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly on 10 March 1989 when it was known as Ejisu-Juaben District which was created from the former Ejisu-Juaben-Bosomtwe District Council. It was later elevated to municipal district assembly status in 2007 to become Ejisu-Juaben Municipal District. However on 15 March 2018, it was split off into two new municipal districts: Ejisu Municipal District and Juaben Municipal District. The municipality was located in the central part of Ashanti Region and had Ejisu as its capital town.
Sekyere East District is one of the forty-three districts in Ashanti Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988, which was created from the former Sekyere District Council. Later, the eastern part of the district was split off to create the 1st Sekyere Afram Plains District on 1 November 2007, with Kumawu as its capital town. However on 28 June 2012, the Afram Plains area of the district was split off to create the new Sekyere Afram Plains District, with Dobrosno as its capital town; while the remaining part has since then been officially renamed as Sekyere Kumawu District, with Kumawu as its capital town. The district assembly is located in the eastern part of Ashanti Region and has Effiduase as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Sekyere West District in 1988, which was created from the former Sekyere District Council. However on 1 November 2007, the eastern part of the district was split off to create Sekyere Central District; while the remaining portion has since then been officially renamed as Mampong Municipal District, which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on that same year. The municipality is located in the northern part of Ashanti Region and has Mampong as its capital town.

On 15 March 2018, the southeast part of the district was split off to create Adansi Asokwa District. The district is located in the southern part of Ashanti Region and has Fomena as its capital town.

Later, the eastern part of the district was split off to create Obuasi East District on 15 March 2018; thus the remaining part has been retained as Obuasi Municipal District. The municipality is the southern part of Ashanti Region and has Obuasi as its capital town.

Birim Central Municipal District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as the first Birim South District, which it was created from the former Birim District Council, until the western part of the district was split off to create a new Birim South District, with Akim Swedru as its capital town; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Birim Central Municipal District on 29 February 2008, with Akim Oda as its capital town, which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on that same year. However on 15 March 2018, the southeast part of the district was split off to become Asene-Manso-Akroso District; thus the remaining part has been retained as Birim Central Municipal District. The municipality is located in the southwest part of Eastern Region and has Akim Oda as its capital town.

Adansi Asokwa is the capital of the Adansi Asokwa District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The district itself was created out of the Adansi North District by Legislative Instrument in 2018. It is located in the southern half of the region on the N8 highway running from Kumasi, capital of the region to Yamoransa near Cape Coast, capital of the Central Region. It is also the main town in the Asokwa Area Council, one of four in the district.
