Arthur Nabarrete Zanetti (born 16 April 1990) is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. He won the gold medal on the rings exercise at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, [1] becoming the first Brazilian and Latin American gymnast to win an Olympic medal in history. He also won the gold medal at the 2013 World Championships in Antwerp. [2]
Zanetti made his World Championships debut at the 2007 World Championships. [3] He next competed at the 2007 Junior Pan American Championships where he helped Brazil win silver as a team. Individually he won gold on floor exercise and rings and silver on vault. [4]
Zanetti competed at the 2008 Pan American Championships where he won bronze on floor exercise and rings. He competed at the 2009 World Championships in London. He qualified in eighth for the rings final and placed fourth during the final, scoring 15.325. [5]
At the 2010 South American Games Zanetti helped Brazil win gold. Individually he also won gold on rings. [6]
Zanetti won the gold medal on rings at the 2011 Summer Universiade, in Shenzhen, China, with a score of 15.600. [7] It was the first medal for a Brazilian male artistic gymnast in this competition. [8]
He won the silver medal on rings at the 2011 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan. [9] He scored 15.600, finishing behind Chen Yibing of China. With this result, Zanetti qualified to compete at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was also the first Brazilian to win a medal on rings at a World Gymnastics Championships. [10]
At the 2011 Pan American Games Zanetti won the silver medal on rings behind Brandon Wynn of the United States. [11] He also won the team title, the first male team gold medal for Brazil at the Pan American Games. [12]
At the 2012 Olympic Test Event Zanetti won the gold medal on rings. [13] At the Cottbus World Cup Zanetti won the silver medal once again behind Chen. [14] At the Osijek Grand Prix and the Maribor World Cup he won gold. [15] [16]
Zanetti competed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. He qualified to the rings final in fourth place with a score of 15.616. [17] During the event final he won the gold medal with a score of 15.900. [18] His gold medal was the first medal for a Brazilian gymnast, and also the first for a Latin American gymnast [19] in any event at the Olympic Games. [20]
Zanetti participated in two events in the 2013 World Cup series – the Doha World Cup and the Anadia World Cup. He was the gold medalist on rings at both competitions. [21] [22] Zanetti defended his title on rings at the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan and won the gold medal. On October 5, Zanetti won the gold medal at the 2013 World Championships, in Antwerp, Belgium, with a score of 15,800. [23]
At the 2014 South American Games Zanetti helped Brazil win the silver medal. Individually he won gold on rings. At the 2014 Pan American Championships Zanetti won gold on rings and bronze on floor exercise; additionally he helped Brazil win bronze as a team. At the 2014 World Championships Zanetti won silver on rings behind Liu Yang of China. [24]
Zanetti competed at the 2015 Pan American Games where he helped Brazil finish second. Individually he won gold on rings. At the 2015 World Championships Zanetti finished ninth on rings during qualification and was the first reserve for the final.
Zanetti competed at the 2016 Olympic Test Event where he won gold on rings. At the 2016 Olympic Games Zanetti won silver on rings behind Eleftherios Petrounias of Greece. He was also part of the Brazilian men's team that finished sixth in the team competition. [25]
At the 2017 World Championships Zanetti finished seventh on rings. [26]
Zanetti competed at the 2018 South American Games where he helped Brazil win gold as a team. Individually he won gold on rings and vault. [27] At the 2018 World Championships he won silver on rings, once again behind Petrounias.
Zanetti competed at the 2019 World Championships where he finished fifth in the rings final. Nearly all competitions were either canceled or postponed in 2020 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Zanetti competed at the 2020 Olympic Games, held in 2021. He finished eighth on rings during the final. [28]
Zanetti competed at the 2022 Pan American Championships where he helped Brazil finish second as team. Individually he won gold on rings. He was initially going to compete at the 2023 World Championships; however the flu relegated him to being the alternate for the Brazilian team as he could not fully compete. [29]
Daniele Matias Hypólito is a Brazilian gymnast who competed at the 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and the 2016 Olympic Games. Hypólito is the first gymnast from Brazil to win a medal at the World Championships, a silver in floor exercise in 2001. She is also the nine-time senior all-around Brazilian national champion in artistic gymnastics, 2002 South American Games all-around champion and 2003 Pan American Games all-around bronze medalist. To date, Hypólito has won the Brazilian National Championships more than ten times; represented Brazil at the World Championships thirteen times, competing in every championship from 1999 to 2015, except in 2009; taken part in every edition of the Olympic Games from 2000 to 2016; and competed at five Pan American Games between 1999 and 2015.
Jade Fernandes Barbosa is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. She is a two-time individual bronze medalist at the World Championships, and represented Brazil at the 2008, 2016, and 2024 Olympic Games. She was part of the historic teams that won silver at the 2023 World Championships and bronze at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The men's rings competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics was held at the North Greenwich Arena on 28 July and 6 August 2012. It included 68 competitors from 31 nations.
Rebeca Rodrigues de Andrade is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. Having won a total of six Olympic and nine World medals, she is the most decorated Brazilian and Latin American gymnast of all time, as well as the most decorated Brazilian Olympian in any discipline. In the all-around, she is the 2022 World champion, a two-time Olympic silver medalist, the 2023 World silver medalist, and the 2021 Pan American champion. On vault, she is the 2020 Olympic gold medalist, the 2024 Olympic silver medalist, a two-time World Champion, and the 2023 Pan American Games champion. In the floor exercise, she is the 2024 Olympic gold medalist, 2023 World silver medallist, and 2022 World bronze medallist. She led the Brazilian team to its first ever team medals at the 2023 World Championships (silver) and the 2024 Olympics (bronze), as well as the gold medal at the 2021 Pan American Championships.
Flávia Lopes Saraiva is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. She represented Brazil at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris where she won a bronze medal as part of the Brazilian team. She was also part of the teams that won silver at the 2023 World Championships, gold at the 2018 South American Games and bronze at the 2015 and 2019 Pan American Games. Individually she is the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic floor exercise champion, the 2023 World Championships floor exercise bronze medalist and is a multi-medalist at the Pan American Games, South American Games, and Pan American Championships.
Nikita Vladimirovich Nagornyy is a Russian artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian, representing Russia in 2016 and ROC in 2020. He was part of the teams who won gold at the 2020 Olympic Games and 2019 World Championships and silver at the 2016 Olympic Games and 2018 World Championships.
The men's rings competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held at the HSBC Arena on 6 and 15 August. There were 70 competitors from 34 nations. The event was won by Eleftherios Petrounias of Greece, the nation's first medal in the men's rings since 2004. Defending champion Arthur Zanetti of Brazil finished second, making him the 13th man to win multiple medals in the event. Denis Ablyazin earned Russia's first post-Soviet medal in the event with his bronze.

Lorrane dos Santos Oliveira is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the Brazilian teams that won historic medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics and the 2023 World Championships. She also won team bronze medals at the 2015 and 2019 Pan American Games. Individually, she is the 2021 Pan American uneven bars champion and all-around bronze medalist. She also represented Brazil at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
İbrahim Çolak is a Turkish artistic gymnast who is primarily a rings specialist. He is the 2019 World champion on the rings and the first Turkish gymnast to medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He also became Turkey's first European champion in artistic gymnastics when he won gold on the rings at the 2020 European Championships. He is also the 2018 European silver medalist on the rings and the 2020 European silver medalist with the Turkish team. He is the 2022 Mediterranean Games champion on the rings and in the team event. He won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Games and the silver medal at the 2013 Mediterranean Games on the rings. He represented Turkey at the 2020 Summer Olympics where he finished fifth in the rings final.
Yul Kyung-Tae Moldauer is an American artistic gymnast. He is the 2017 U.S. national all-around champion and the 2017 World bronze medalist on floor exercise. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2017 and represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships.
Samir Aït Saïd is a French artistic gymnast. He is the 2019 World bronze medalist and the 2013 European champion on the still rings. He is also a three-time European silver medalist and a two-time European bronze medalist. He represented France at the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2020 Summer Olympics, and the 2024 Summer Olympics. He was one of France's flagbearers at the 2020 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.
Félix Dolci is a Canadian male artistic gymnast. He represented Canada at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He is the 2023 Pan American Games all-around and floor exercise champion and the 2019 Junior World Champion on rings. He has been a member of the Canadian national team since 2017.
Diogo Brajão Soares is a Brazilian artistic gymnast and a member of the national team. He participated in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games and the 2019 Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He represented Brazil at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games.
Nazar Vyacheslavovich Chepurnyi is a Ukrainian artistic gymnast. He represented Ukraine at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He was part of the gold medal winning team at the 2024 European Championships and the silver medal winning team at the 2019 Junior World Championships. Individually on vault he is the 201 World University Games champion, 2018 Youth Olympic silver medalist, and the 2023 World and 2024 European bronze medalist. Additionally he is the 2019 Junior World champion on horizontal bar.
Audrys Nin Reyes is a Dominican artistic gymnast. He is the 2019 and 2023 Pan American Games vault champion. He was the first Dominican gymnast to win a gold medal at the Pan American Games. He was also the first Dominican gymnast to win a gold medal at an FIG World Cup event when he won the vault title at the 2017 Osijek World Challenge Cup. He is the 2017 Pan American vault and horizontal bar champion and the 2017 Universiade vault champion. He is also the 2018 and 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games vault champion. He has qualified to represent the Dominican Republic at the 2024 Summer Olympics, the first male gymnast from his country to do so.
John Brody Malone is an American artistic gymnast. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2020 and represented the United States at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games. He was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He is a three-time United States national all-around champion. On horizontal bar, he is the 2021 World Championship bronze medalist and the 2022 World Champion. With three Olympic and World Championship medals, Malone is tied as the ninth most decorated U.S. male gymnast of all time. He is also a ten-time NCAA National Champion.
René Cournoyer is a Canadian artistic gymnast. He represented Canada at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games as well as the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
Riley Austin Loos is an American artistic gymnast. He was a member of the gold medal-winning team at both the 2018 and 2022 Pan American Championships. He is a member of the United States men's national gymnastics team and competed in collegiate gymnastics for Stanford.
