The Kollam–Sengottai branch line is a railway line in South India which connects Kollam Junction in Kerala state and Sengottai in Tamil Nadu. The Quilon–Shencottah railway line was the first railway line in the erstwhile Travancore state and is more than a century old. The Kollam–Sengottai section is part of the Kollam–Chennai metre gauge rail route commissioned by the British in 1904. The line has been completely converted to broad gauge and is now fully operational from Kollam Junction to Shengottai.

The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, also known as the Indian Orthodox Church, is an autocephalous church centered in the Indian state of Kerala. It is one of the churches of India's Saint Thomas Christian community, which has its origin in the evangelical activity of Thomas the Apostle in the 1st century. The church is headed by the autocephalous Catholicos of the East and the Malankara Metropolitan, presently Baselios Mar Thoma Paulose II.
The first chapel was built in 1957 october. In 1958 February 2 new church came into being exist. Holy Qurbana was conducted only in one day in month. Rev Fr C. Sachariah was the first vicar. Vicar was acted as the first trustee and first secretary was C. J. Thomas, Muttatherill. There are 39 families in church in first time. [5] In 1968 construction of second church started. In 1974 completed the construction started worship. [6] In 2013, construction of third church started and in 2017 completed it. Now it is open for worship. [7]
