Stavanger is a city and municipality in Norway. It is the fourth largest city and third largest metropolitan area in Norway and the administrative centre of Rogaland county. The municipality is the fourth most populous in Norway. Located on the Stavanger Peninsula in Southwest Norway, Stavanger counts its official founding year as 1125, the year the Stavanger Cathedral was completed. Stavanger's core is to a large degree 18th- and 19th-century wooden houses that are protected and considered part of the city's cultural heritage. This has caused the town centre and inner city to retain a small-town character with an unusually high ratio of detached houses, and has contributed significantly to spreading the city's population growth to outlying parts of Greater Stavanger.

The Torne, also known as the Tornio, is a river in northern Sweden and Finland. For approximately half of its length it defines the border between these two countries. It rises at Lake Torne near the border with Norway and flows generally southeast for a distance of 522 kilometres (324 mi) into the Gulf of Bothnia. It is the largest river in Norrbotten both by length and by watershed area.
Vassøy is an island in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 0.73-square-kilometre (180-acre) island lies in the Storhaug borough, about 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) northeast of the centre of the city of Stavanger in an archipelago. The islands of Roaldsøy, Bjørnøy, and Langøy lie to the west and the island of Lindøy lies to the southeast. Vassøy had 702 inhabitants who all live along the western shore of the island; the eastern side is more rugged and wooded. The island has a primary school with around 80 pupils.

Botsvatn or Bossvatn is a lake in the municipality of Bykle in Agder county, Norway. The 14.6-kilometre (9.1 mi) long, narrow reservoir is located just to the southeast of the large lake Blåsjø and northeast of the lake Ytre Storevatnet. The lake holds water for the Brokke Hydroelectric Power Station, located in nearby Valle municipality. The water from the lake can flow out into the nearby river Otra, but only when water is released from the dam.
Ingelsvatnet or Ingjelsvatnet is a lake in the municipality of Lierne in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 7.16-square-kilometre (2.76 sq mi) lake lies only 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from the south shore of the large lake Tunnsjøen and 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of the village of Tunnsjø senter. The water flows out through a series of small lakes and streams that lead into Tunnsjøen. The lake Havdalsvatnet lies 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of Ingelsvatnet.
Eidfjordvatnet is a moraine-dammed lake in the municipality of Eidfjord in Vestland county, Norway. The 3.55-square-kilometre (1.37 sq mi) lake is located immediately southeast of the village of Eidfjord. The village of Øvre Eidfjord lies on the southern shore of the lake. Norwegian National Road 7 runs along the western shore of the lake. The water enters the lake through the Bjoreio and Veig rivers, and the water empties from the lake through the Eio River.
Wenham Lake is a 224-acre body of water located in Wenham and Beverly towns, Essex County, Massachusetts.The lake receives water from the water table and also from a system of streams. In the 19th century, the lake was an important source of ice for export, especially to Britain. Wenham Lake is now a reservoir for the Salem and the Beverly Water Supply Board.
Eiganes og Våland is a borough of the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located just west of the city centre, north of the lake Mosvatnet, west of the lake Stokkavatnet, and south of the borough of Tasta. The 7.01-square-kilometre (1,730-acre) borough has a population (2019) of 24,070. This gives the borough a population density of 3,400 inhabitants per square kilometre (8,800/sq mi). There are two churches in Eiganes og Våland: Stokka Church and Kampen Church.

Mosvatnet is a lake in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The lake lies just west of the centre of the city of Stavanger in the Eiganes og Våland borough. At 0.45 square kilometres, it is the third largest lake in the city of Stavanger after Hålandsvatnet and Stora Stokkavatnet. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 3.2 metres (10 ft) and it lies at an elevation of 37 metres (121 ft) above sea level. The lake flows out through a small stream that runs through underground culverts to the Breiavatnet lake before emptying into the nearby Byfjorden.
Stora Stokkavatnet is a lake in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The 2.12-square-kilometre (0.82 sq mi) lake lies just west of the centre of the city of Stavanger. The lake lies in the western part of the municipality and it forms the boundary of the boroughs of Tasta, Eiganes og Våland, and Madla.
