Format

Following the re-commissioning of the show, ITV confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother will see a "new cast of famous faces isolated from the outside world as they embark on the ultimate social experiment, taking up residence in the iconic Big Brother house" [...] and will take part in weekly nominations and tasks with cameras capturing their every move. The series is set to begin with a 90-minute live launch show airing on ITV1. [1] [6]

The series is set to begin in April 2025 and is slated to run for 19 days, due to be covered over 17 episodes, airing six nights a week from Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV1, with six of these episodes being 90-minute shows, this includes the launch, live evictions and the finale. [7] Celebrity Brother: Late & Live follows at 10pm on ITV2. Following this, the Big Brother: Live Stream will cover live feed from the house "into the small hours every night" on ITVX, which will air seven nights a week from 11pm until 2am from Sunday from Friday, and from 9pm until 2am on Saturdays. The series will conclude with a 90-minute finale episode. [1] [8]

House

In December 2024, it was reported that ITV would move from the house located at Garden Studios to a new location in London ahead of the upcoming twenty-fourth celebrity series. [9] The following month, it was announced that the house would be built at Titan Studios, rendering it the fourth house to be used for the series since the show's inception. [10]

The last remaining housemate wins the competition and a cash prize. The series takes its name from the oppressive character known by that name in George Orwell's 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four.
