Citrus Village is a shopping center in Redlands, California, on Redlands Boulevard between E. Palm Ave and E. Cypress Ave. One of the earliest planned shopping centers in the area and upon its opening on November 2, 1959, the largest retail area in Redlands, costing $2 million and housing 20 shops under one air-conditioned roof. [1] Sage's Complete Shopping was the original main anchor, a large supermarket which included a pharmacy and lunch counter. [2] [3] [4]
In 1967 it added 33,000 square feet to the complex and in May 1970 a 24,000-square-foot (2,200 m2) "Milton's" apparel store, run by Milton Sage, owner of Sage's. [5]
Webb's, a department store from Glendale, California, opened its first branch store here, measuring 42,000 square feet, on August 30, 1973 [6] in the Citrus Village shopping center, a small center with 16 specialty stores. [7]
Today, the shopping center is currently anchored by an Albertsons supermarket and Rite Aid pharmacy. [8]

Plans were announced for its construction in 1953 and it opened in 1958, starting with a 40,000-square-foot (3,700 m2) Ralphs supermarket. Other anchor tenants over the 1950s-1980s included Montgomery Ward, Long Beach-based Robert's department store, Nahas department store, and J. J. Newberry. By the 1980s, the center was outdated in design — two rows of stores with a small pedestrian mall in the center, surrounded by acres of parking — and had lost business to more modern malls including Fashion Square/MainPlace and The City Shopping Center in Orange.

Orangefair Marketplace is a community shopping center in Fullerton, California which when built was one of the earliest large shopping centers in Orange County, California. along with Anaheim Plaza and Orange County Plaza. It is located at the southeast corner of Harbor Boulevard and Orangethorpe Avenue, a mile south of Fullerton's historic downtown.
Sage's Complete Markets was a privately held supermarket chain, based in San Bernardino, California, consisting of 7 stores located throughout Southern California. It was founded in San Bernardino, California, in 1937, by Milton R. Sage. Milton R. Sage opens his first market at Base Line and E Street in 1937. The store will expand to become a chain of Sage's Complete Markets throughout San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The company had 16 separate stores, including six supermarkets, six adjacent toy stores, Two "Minute" Shops, and two Bakeries. On side of the buildings were Sage's Coffee Shop and Sage's Toy Stores. Sage's filed for bankruptcy on May 19, 1972, in early 1973 all stores were closed. Milton R. Sage died of a heart attack on November 22, 1973 at the age of 64.
