Sherwood Place (formerly Sherwood Mall) is a shopping center in Stockton, California, United States. Opened in 1979, it features Macy's, Best Buy, Petco, Ulta Beauty, HomeGoods, Dick's Sporting Goods, Sprouts Farmers Market, Burlington, and Sky Zone. It is owned and managed by Brixton.
Prior to its redevelopment in 2022, it was one of two enclosed shopping malls in Stockton, the other being Weberstown Mall, which is located next door to Sherwood.
Sherwood Place was built in 1979 as Sherwood Mall by Stone Brothers, who sold the property to Brixton Sherwood, LLC in 2017. [2] Its original anchor stores were Macy's and Montgomery Ward, which closed in 2001. It was expanded in 1987 with a new wing featuring a food court, Toys "R" Us and a Gottschalks, which remained until the chain filed for bankruptcy in 2009. [3]
In 2002, Best Buy opened in part of the vacated Montgomery Ward store. [4] The rest later became Petco. A year later, Toys "R" Us closed its store and decided to move its store to a nearby lot, which was located next to Montgomery Ward. [5] The Toys "R" Us space became HomeGoods in 2005 while the rest later became Shoe Pavilion. [6] The interior mall was renovated that same year. [2] Part of the renovations added the aforementioned Shoe Pavilion, which later closed and became Ulta. In September 2014, Dick's Sporting Goods opened in part of the old Gottschalks anchor while the rest later became Sky Zone.
The property underwent redevelopment in 2022 to make way for a new Sprouts Farmers Market and other tenants, according to a press release. Most of the mall interior was shuttered and gutted to make way for Sprouts, as well as Burlington. The mall's exterior tenants remained open during construction, which lasted until spring 2023. As part of these changes, the mall was renamed to its current moniker. [7]
University Mall, previously University Square Mall, is a shopping mall located near the University of South Florida, just north of the city limits of Tampa on Fowler Avenue. The property is located just east of I-275. The Mall has decreased in popularity over the years as online shopping and gentrification of the surrounding area has started to take effect.

Castleton Square is an enclosed shopping mall in the Castleton neighborhood on the northeastern side of Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. Built by Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation and Homart Development Company in 1972, it is owned and managed by Simon Property Group. It is the largest mall in the state of Indiana, and has remained so since its construction. The center's original anchor stores were JCPenney, Sears, Lazarus, and Woolworth. Expansions in 1990 and 1998 added to the total number of anchor and inline stores, while also adding a food court. Northpark Mall is a super regional mall located in Joplin, Missouri. The mall opened in 1972 with 600,000 square feet, and featured 60 stores, restaurants, and other services. Today, the Northpark mall is 1,080,000 square feet, and features more than 100 inline tenants including a food court. Northpark Mall is the largest mall in the Joplin region and serves a trade area of nearly 500,000 people. Freeman hospital added a soft play area in the Macy's women's court in the summer of 2014. Bridgepointe Shopping Center is a shopping mall in San Mateo, California, United States. Opened in 1982 as San Mateo Fashion Island, it was originally an enclosed shopping mall featuring JCPenney, Bullock's, Liberty House, and Montgomery Ward as its anchor stores. Following the closures of Bullock's and Liberty House, the mall went into decline throughout the 1990s, leading to its closure and demolition in favor of a power center. Bridgepointe Shopping Center is owned and managed by CBRE Group. Major tenants of Bridgepointe Shopping Center include The Home Depot and Target.
