Anaheim GardenWalk is a lifestyle center located a block east of the Disneyland Resort in the Anaheim Resort District of Anaheim, California. The center opened on June 14, 2008, during the Great Recession, and has struggled with a low occupancy rate of 55% in 2011. [4] Most of its fashion retailers, including Tommy Bahama, Ann Taylor LOFT, and Hollister Co., have closed prior to 2014. Its most recent casualty was the UltraLuxe Cinemas which closed on August 17, 2015. [5] However, the center has been doing better recently under new ownership and management, but its focus is now more of a center for entertainment rather than a place for shopping. The center features House of Blues Anaheim, Bowlmor, UFCFit, Heat Ultra Lounge, and a multitude of restaurants and shops.

A relocated, expanded House of Blues Anaheim, a major concert venue previously located at the nearby Downtown Disney from 2001 to 2016, opened at GardenWalk in March 2017, following the expiration of its lease with Disney, took over the space formerly occupied by UltraLuxe Cinemas. [6]

Anaheim GardenWalk's has a current directory featuring Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, The Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, Roy's Restaurant, McCormick and Schmick's, Fire + Ice Bar & Grill, Casa de Pancho, AMC, Flightdeck, Meeples Family, Yiya Formosa and Rumba Room Live and more. Its upcoming projects include the opening of Starbucks, Paris Baguette, RAKKEN Ramen, Artist Row, Meet Fresh and Boiling Point. JW Marriott, a 12-story 4-star hotel with 466 guest rooms [7] opened during the Pandemic, adjacent to the property.

Huckleberry Breakfast and Lunch recently opened, and start serving its patrons from 7AM at the GardenWalk.

Anaheim GardenWalk has also gained the reputation as a "haven for artists" [8] with its interchanging art murals painted or designed by local artists which allows for exposure on a larger scale.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Battle of the Dance</span>

Battle of the Dance was a dinner theater in Anaheim, California, featuring contrasting styles of dance—principally flamenco and Irish folk dancing—performed by a cast of over 40 dancers. Designed to cash in on the popularity of such shows as Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, the venture was very ambitious: the brainchild of Medieval Times founder Andrés Gelabert, backed by $10 million in investor capital, and performing in a dedicated 40,000 square foot venue. Performances debuted to much fanfare in February 2011, and the show met with critical success: for example, the Orange County Register said, "Without a doubt... some of the best flamenco and Spanish dancers you'll ever see," and called the choreography "masterful". However, the show never became a popular success, and it closed indefinitely just 16 months after its opening, in June 2012.

It would have been located in the Anaheim Resort and Platinum Triangle, with stops at the Disneyland Resort, the Anaheim Convention Center, and the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), among others. It has been the subject of much political controversy, which led to the project being cancelled by OCTA in 2018. Councilmembers from the cities of Anaheim and Fullerton stated opposition to the streetcar mode citing concerns about traffic impacts, safety, capital costs, and recent declining transit ridership. These cities also shared concerns about how implementation of dedicated transit lanes would impact automobile traffic.
