The third season of the Indian music television series, Coke Studio @ MTV, aired between 17 August 2013, and 29 October 2013. Encompassing eight original episodes and two retrospective "Best of Coke Studio @ MTV Season 3" episodes, the season presented a total of 47 songs. [1] [2] [3]

Production

The season was produced and broadcast by Viacom18 in collaboration with Coca-Cola India. Chandrashekhar L served as Creative Director and Producer, while Parichit Paralkar designed the production. Joel Pinto directed the Behind the Music (BTM) segments. David Polycarp and Vasant Valsan oversaw production, with Sony Music India acting as the official music partner. [4]

The season adopted the format established in the previous season, featuring episodes produced by individual music producers, culminating in a final episode with collaborative efforts from multiple producers. [5] [6] The music producers for this season included (listed alphabetically):

Karsh Kale is an Indian-American musician born in England. Known primarily for his experimental tabla playing within electronic music contexts, Kale's career has seen him take on roles of an Indian classical tabla player, singer, songwriter, film and TV score composer and DJ. The 4th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best of Hindi music from the year 2011. The ceremony was held on 21 March 2012 at the Bhavan's College Ground (Andheri), Mumbai and was hosted by Shaan and Usha Uthup. There were many performances, including those by Saif Ali Khan, Parikrama, Shreya Ghoshal, Bappi Lahiri and Mika Singh. There was a live jugalbandi featuring Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Lalit Pandit, Salim–Sulaiman, Ram Sampath, Sajid–Wajid and Leslie Lewis. Ash King, Harshdeep Kaur, Neha Bhasin, Anushka Manchanda, Tochi Raina, Shweta Pandit, Dominique and Clinton Cerejo, Kamal Khan, Suman Shridhar, Shefali Alvares, Benny Dayal and Ritu Pathak also performed during the award show. Rockstar won a leading five awards including Album of the Year. Song of the Year went to "Senorita" from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The show was broadcast on 31 March 2012 on Colors.

Mame Khan is an Indian playback and folk singer from Rajasthan, India.
