Yvelines' subprefectures are Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Mantes-la-Jolie and Rambouillet.

Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines is a new town and an agglomeration community in the French department of Yvelines. It is one of the original five villes nouvelles of Paris and was named after the Saint Quentin Pond, which was chosen to become the town's centre. The town was built from a greenfield site starting in the 1960s. Its area is 119.2 km2. In 2018, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines had a population of 228,312. It is part of the much larger Paris metropolitan area, and is around 25 km (16 mi) west of the centre of Paris.
Gargenville is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France, 45 km to the center of Paris. It is part of the Parc naturel régional du Vexin français. With the neighborhing commune of Issou, it forms an urban area of around 10000 inhabitants.
The Communauté d'agglomération de Mantes-en-Yvelines is a former administrative entity in the Yvelines département, near Paris. Its administrative center was Mantes-la-Jolie. It was created in December 1999. It was merged into the Communauté urbaine Grand Paris Seine et Oise in January 2016.
The Communauté urbaine Grand Paris Seine et Oise is the communauté urbaine, an intercommunal structure, covering the western suburbs of Paris. It is located in the Yvelines department, in the Île-de-France region, northern France. It was created in January 2016 by the merger of the previous communautés d'agglomération Mantes-en-Yvelines, Deux Rives de la Seine, Poissy-Achères-Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, Seine & Vexin and the communautés de communes Coteaux du Vexin and Seine-Mauldre. Its area is 504.7 km2. Its population was 417,556 in 2018. Its seat is in Aubergenville.
The Communauté d'agglomération du Beauvaisis is a communauté d'agglomération located in the Oise department and in the Hauts-de-France region of France. Its seat is in the town Beauvais. It was created on 1 January 2017 by merger of the former Communauté d'agglomération du Beauvaisis with the Communauté de communes rurales du Beauvaisis, and was expanded with 9 communes from the Communauté de communes de l'Oise Picarde in January 2018. Its area is 539.0 km2. Its population was 102,607 in 2017, of which 56,254 in Beauvais proper.
