Dawsonville is an unincorporated community in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. [2]

Dawsonville was established in 1750 by Thomas Dawson in land that was previously territory of Frederick County, but sits within the boundaries of Montgomery County in the modern day. Before the community's founding, he had lived within Charles County. [3]
