The Colne and Misbourne rivers pass through the park and the Grand Union Canal forms its eastern boundary. It has a variety of wildlife, including herons, kingfishers, damselflies and dragonflies. [1]

There is access from Denham Court Drive and the canal towpath.

Denham Quarry Park

Natural England lists Denham Quarry Park as a separate Local Nature Reserve in Buckinghamshire. [1] However, this appears to be an error as the boundaries are shown as almost the same as Denham Country Park, and Denham Quarry is on the other side of the Grand Union Canal in Hillingdon. [5] [2]

River Crane, London river in London, United Kingdom

The River Crane, a tributary of the River Thames, is a river running through west London, England. It is 8.5 miles (13.6 km) long and flows entirely within Greater London. The Crane flows through three London boroughs: Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond upon Thames. Although the drainage basin is heavily urbanised, the Crane Valley is one of the few river corridors within London that provides a continuous belt of semi-natural habitat. However, in common with many urban rivers, the Crane's natural morphology has been significantly altered over the years by river engineering works such as widening, straightening and bank reinforcement.

The London Borough of Hillingdon is responsible for 239 parks and open spaces within its boundaries. Since much of the area is within the Green Belt, there are large areas of land properly called open space. They range in size from the Colne Valley corridor to the smallest gardens and playing fields.
