Dorothy "Dotdot" Montejo-Gonzaga is a Filipino politician who has been the governor of Davao de Oro since 2022. She is the first ever female governor elected in the province since its separation from Davao del Norte. [2] [3]
Prior to her election,she served at the Regional Trial Court Branch 4 in Panabo City. [4] She previously a worked as an associate judge at the Supreme Court of the Philippines from 2018 to 2022 as well as a Court of Appeal magistrate. [2] [5]
She ran for governor in the 2022 local election. She won after garnering 226,731 votes against the former governor Arturo Chiongkee Uy. [6] [7]

She is married to Ruwel Gonzaga, the current Davao de Oro 2nd district congressman. [4]
Davao de Oro, officially the Province of Davao de Oro, is a province in the Philippines located in the Davao Region in Mindanao. Its capital is Nabunturan while Monkayo is the most populous. It used to be part of the province of Davao del Norte until it was made a separate province in 1998.
