Edgard is a census-designated place (CDP) in, and the parish seat of, St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 2,637 at the 2000 census and 1,948 in 2020. It is part of the New Orleans–Metairie–Kenner Metropolitan Statistical Area. Edgard is part of the German Coast of Louisiana.

Oakland Plantation, originally known as the Jean Pierre Emmanuel Prud'homme Plantation, and also known as Bermuda, is a historic plantation in and unincorporated area of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. Founded as a forced-labor farm worked by enslaved Black people for White owners, it is one of the nation's best and most intact examples of a French Creole cotton plantation complex. The Oakland Plantation is now owned by the National Park Service as part of the Cane River Creole National Historical Park.
Ste. Genevieve Historic District is a historic district encompassing much of the built environment of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, United States. The city was in the late 18th century the capital of Spanish Louisiana, and, at its original location a few miles south, capital of French Louisiana as well. A large area of the city, including fields along the Mississippi River, is a National Historic Landmark District designated in 1960, for its historically French architecture and land-use patterns, while a smaller area, encompassing the parts of the city historically important between about 1790 and 1950, was named separately to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Muller's Department Store was a major department store, and it is the name of a three-story brick building now located at 625 Ryan Street in downtown Lake Charles, Louisiana. The building was built in 1913 and opened as a 45,000 square feet (4,200 m2) store. It was expanded to the rear in 1949, adding about a third.
The Taftsville Historic District encompasses a historic 19th-century industrial village that is mostly in Woodstock, Vermont. Flanking the Ottauquechee River and extending up Happy Valley Road, the area developed around a metal tool factory established by members of the Taft family in 1793. Important elements from its early history include the Taftsville Store, built by the Taft family in 1840, and the Taftsville Covered Bridge, built in 1836. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

It was individually listed on the Davenport Register of Historic Properties and on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2020 it was included as a contributing property in the Davenport Downtown Commercial Historic District. The former department store building was modeled on the Rookery Building in Chicago.
J. Kurtz and Sons Store Building is a historic commercial building in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens in New York City. It was built in 1931 and is a six-story, steel-frame building with two decorated sides in the Art Deco style. It is three bays by six bays and features a metal-framed windows with stepped pylon motif rising through all four floors. They are of cast aluminum with geometric designs. It was built to house a franchise of the J. Kurtz and Sons furniture store, founded by Jacob Kurtz in 1870.

Étienne Joseph Caire I, , was an American merchant, pharmacist, sugar cane planter, and banker from Edgard in St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana. He ran in 1928 as the first Republican nominee for Governor of Louisiana in the 20th century when he challenged populist Democrat Huey Pierce Long Jr. He received only four percent of the vote. That year the Republican Party ran a slate of candidates for statewide offices for the first time since the late 19th century.
