As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 787 people, 260 households, and 221 families residing in the township. The population density was 22.5 people per square mile (8.7/km2). There were 268 housing units at an average density of 7.7/sq mi (3.0/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 99.11% White, 0.13% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.25% from other races, and 0.25% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.64% of the population.
There were 260 households, out of which 44.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.5% were married couples living together, 3.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.0% were non-families. 12.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.03 and the average family size was 3.33.
