Reads Landing is an unincorporated community in Pepin Township, Wabasha County, Minnesota, United States, along the Mississippi River. The community is located between Lake City and Wabasha along U.S. Highway 61 at the junction with Wabasha County Road 77 and near Wabasha, Lake City, Camp Lacupolis, and Maple Springs. Reads Landing is located within section 24 of Pepin Township.

Reads Landing was platted in 1856. [3] Around 1878, the community had various commercial and transportation buildings, but later those businesses moved to Wabasha. [4] The post office began in 1850 and still operates today. At one time, Reads Landing was considered a possible site for the Minnesota state capital. [5]
The community contains one property listed on the National Register of Historic Places: the 1870 Reads Landing School. [6] The school building now houses the Wabasha County Historical Society Museum. [7]
Amtrak’s Empire Builder , which operates between Seattle/Portland and Chicago, passes through the town on BNSF tracks, but makes no stop. The nearest station is located in Red Wing, 27 miles (43 km) to the northwest.

Lake Pepin is a naturally occurring lake on the Mississippi River on the border between the U.S. states of Minnesota and Wisconsin. It is located in a valley carved by the outflow of an enormous glacial lake at the end of the last Ice Age. The lake formed when the Mississippi, a successor to the glacial river, was partially dammed by a delta from a tributary stream and spread out across the ancient valley.

Reads Landing School is a former school building in the unincorporated community of Reads Landing, Minnesota, United States. Built in 1870, it has been converted into the Wabasha County Historical Society Museum. The building is one of the state's oldest surviving brick schools, and typifies their characteristic boxy, bracketed, Italianate style. The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 for having local significance in the themes of architecture and exploration/settlement. It was nominated for being a rare surviving example of Minnesota's early brick schools, and for its association with Reads Landing's peak as a lumber milling boomtown.
The Reads Landing Overlook is a scenic overlook on U.S. Route 61 in Pepin Township, Minnesota, United States. It was built from 1939 to 1940 as a New Deal project to provide motorists with a scenic view of Lake Pepin. It was designed by landscape architect Arthur R. Nichols and constructed by the National Youth Administration. The overlook was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004 for its state-level significance in the themes of landscape architecture and politics/government. It was nominated for exemplifying the early highway waysides built in Minnesota with federal work relief aid, and for exemplifying as well National Park Service rustic style and the work of Nichols.
