Erandwane is a locality in Pune city. It is known for being the location of Film and Television Institute of India. It is the location for some of the most famous schools, colleges, shopping malls, restaurants, cinema halls, and hospitals in the south of Pune. [2] Located next to Kothrud, which is home to numerous information technology companies such as Persistent Systems, Harbinger Systems, Tech Mahindra. [3] there are numerous hostel and PG accommodations for men and women in Erandwane. Karve Road is the main road that links Erandwane with Kothrud. [4] [5] Marathi and English are the most commonly spoken language in the area. [6]

A prominent place to visit in the area is Kamala Nehru Park. Another place worth visiting is the Pune Fire Brigade Museum, the first of its kind in India. Also called Late Keshavrao Narayanrao Jagtap Fire Brigade Museum, the museum houses variety of equipment used by the fire department including more than 100 antique firefighting equipment including a Rolls-Royce Dennis [7] [8] Also worth visiting is Dashabhuja Ganapati Temple and Joshi's Museum of Miniature Railway

Wadgaon Sheri is an upmarket residential and commercial neighborhood of Pune, India located off the Nagar Road. Earlier a village outside the city, It is now one of the upmarket areas of Pune, with real estate prices being quite high. It is an upscale residential location due to easy accessibility to work and leisure as well as good educational institutions, making it a coveted and highly sought after residential destination. A significant central section of Wadgaon Sheri, Digambar Nagar, has been renamed New Kalyani Nagar given the massive new upscale constructions from several prominent real estate organizations in the city and also its strategic location in close proximity to posh area of Kalyani Nagar. The fire began in a bar, 1 Above, and spread to an adjacent pub, Mojo's Bistro, before spreading through the rest of the building in which they were housed.
