Gopalaratnam Subramaniam, known professionally as Mani Ratnam, is an Indian film director, film producer and screenwriter who predominantly works in Tamil cinema and few Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. He is one of India's most acclaimed and commercially successful filmmakers. Ratnam has won seven National Film Awards, four Filmfare Awards, six Filmfare Awards South, and numerous awards at various film festivals across the world. In 2002, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, acknowledging his contributions to film.

Saravanan Sivakumar, known by his stage name Suriya, is an Indian actor and film producer. He primarily works in Tamil cinema where he is one of the highest paid actors. He has received numerous awards including two National Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South and five Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. Suriya has featured six times in the Celebrity 100 list of Forbes India, which takes into account the earnings of Indian celebrities.

Pallavi Anu Pallavi is a 1983 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film written and directed by Mani Ratnam in his debut. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Lakshmi, and Kiran Vairale. It revolves around a young man falling in love with a slightly older woman. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, while cinematography was handled by Balu Mahendra. The film is also Kapoor's debut in Kannada cinema.

Murali Karthikeyan Muthuraman, better known by his stage name Karthik, is an Indian actor, playback singer and politician who works in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor R. Muthuraman. Known as Navarasa Nayagan, Karthik was one of the biggest stars in the industry in the 80s and 90s. He was first introduced by Bharathiraja in the Tamil film Alaigal Oivathillai (1981) and became a lead actor in Tamil films eventually. He has also appeared in some Telugu films where he was initially credited as Murali. Karthik is often appreciated for his ability to emote all forms of actions and emotions. He has acted in more than 125 films. He has been the recipient of four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, a Nandi Award and four Filmfare Awards South.

A. S. Lakshmi Narayanan is an audiographer - Sound Designer, Production sound mixer and sound editor from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is based in Trinity Digi Labs Studio. He won the National Film Award for Best Audiography for his works on acclaimed feature films Kannathil Muthamittal (2002), directed by Mani Ratnam and Kadhalan (1994), directed by S.Shankar. He has also won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Audiographer and Kerala State Film Awards for the various regional films over the years.

S. Ravi Varman is an Indian cinematographer, filmmaker, producer and writer. He has predominantly works in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi film industries. Ravi Varman began his career in Malayalam films. He directed a romantic film in Tamil titled Moscowin Kavery (2010). Honorary member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) (2024). In 70th National Awards he won for best cinematography In Ponniyan Selvan I(2022)

Priyan was an Indian cinematographer who has worked on Tamil language films. Beginning his career as an assistant to Balu Mahendra, Priyan began his career as an independent technician in the 1990s before establishing himself as a leading cinematographer in the Tamil film industry in the 2000s. He is notable in his work with Director Hari. He died due to heart attack in his home.

<i>Ninaithathu Yaaro</i> 2014 Indian film

Ninaithathu Yaaro is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Vikraman and produced by Ramesh P Pillai. The project stars debutants Rejith Menon and Nimisha Suresh playing the lead pair with Karthik Yogi, Azhar, Ashvatt, Riythvika & Subiksha. The film began production in 2013 and released on 30 January 2014.

Premsai is an Indian film director and former actor. As an actor, he was acclaimed for playing many different prominent roles in Tamil and Telugu television serials and tele films. Later he ventured in to Direction. His debut film was Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum starring Jai, Santhanam, Yami Gautam in Tamil and Courier Boy Kalyan in Telugu with Nitin & Yami Gautam. It was produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon.

The 45th Filmfare Awards South ceremony honouring the winners and nominees of the best of South Indian cinema films released 1997, is an event that was held at the Mammoth Kamraj Hall, Madras 13 June 1998.The awards were distributed at Madras.

The 46th Filmfare Awards South ceremony honouring the winners and nominees of the best of South Indian cinema in films released 1998, is an event that was held at the Lalitha Kala Thoranam, Public Gardens on 24 April 1999.The awards were distributed at Hyderabad.
