As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 770 people, 201 households, and 176 families residing in the town. The population density was 21.5 people per square mile (8.3/km2). There were 252 housing units at an average density of 7.0 per square mile (2.7/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 99.22% White, 0.26% African American, 0.13% Pacific Islander, 0.13% from other races, and 0.26% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.65% of the population.
There were 201 households, out of which 48.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 81.1% were married couples living together, 5.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 12.4% were non-families. 10.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
