HD 86226 is a star with a pair of orbiting exoplanet companions, found in the constellation of Hydra. With an apparent visual magnitude of 7.93, [2] it is too dim to be visible with the naked eye. The distance to this system has been determined by the parallax method, yielding a range of 149 light years. It is receding with a heliocentric radial velocity of +19.6 km/s. [4] A survey in 2015 has ruled out the existence of any stellar companions at projected distances above 12 astronomical units. [8]
This is an ordinary G-type main-sequence star with a stellar classification of G2V. [3] It is similar in size, mass, and composition to the Sun, [5] although it is not considered a solar twin. [9] The age is about the same; roughly 4.6 billion years old. The star is radiating 18% greater luminosity (compared to the Sun) from its photosphere at an effective temperature of 5,863 K. [5] It is spinning with a projected rotational velocity of 3.6 km/s. [6]
As of 2014 [update] , Radio emission at a frequency of 150 MHz has been tentatively detected from the proximity of this system, although it is not clear whether the star or a satellite orbiting a rapidly rotating planet is the source. [10]
Due to the periodic spectrum shifts when it had when placed under a Doppler test, 13 Magellan Doppler Velocity observations were made of an object found near the star. The object discovered in 2010 had a Keplerian orbit, was declared an exoplanet and dubbed HD 86226 b. [11] A hot Super-Earth planet called HD 86226 c was discovered in 2020. [5] It may be undergoing considerable atmospheric mass loss. [12]

HD 169830 is a star in the southern constellation of Sagittarius. It has a yellow-white hue and is dimly visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of +5.90. The star is located at a distance of 120 light years from the Sun based on parallax. It is drifting closer with a radial velocity of −17.3 km/s, and is predicted to come as close as 20.7 ly (6.4 pc) in 2.08 million years. HD 169830 is known to be orbited by two large Jupiter-like exoplanets.

HD 102195 is an orange-hued star in the zodiac constellation of Virgo with a confirmed exoplanet companion. With an apparent visual magnitude of 8.07, the star is too faint to be seen with the naked eye. The distance to HD 102195 can be estimated from its annual parallax shift of 34.06 mas, yielding 95.8 light years. It is moving further away from the Earth with a heliocentric radial velocity of 1.85 km/s. This is a high proper motion star and a possible member of the η Cha stellar kinematic group.
HD 107148 is a wide binary star system in the constellation of Virgo. A pair of exoplanets have been confirmed in orbit around the brighter star. This system is located at a distance of 161 light years from the Sun based on parallax measurements, and is drifting further away with a radial velocity of 25.2 K. Although having an absolute magnitude of 4.47, at that range the system is too faint to be visible with the naked eye, having an apparent visual magnitude of 8.01.
HD 43691 is a star with an orbiting exoplanet in the constellation Auriga. With an apparent visual magnitude of 8.03, it is too faint to be visible to the naked eye. A 2015 survey ruled out the existence of any additional stellar companions at projected distances from 13 to 340 astronomical units. It is known to host a single super-Jupiter exoplanet.
HD 175167 is a star with an exoplanet companion in the southern constellation of Pavo. It is too faint to be visible with the naked eye at an apparent visual magnitude of 8.01. The system is located at a distance of 232 light-years from the Sun based on parallax measurements, and it is drifting further away with a radial velocity of 5 km/s. It shows a high proper motion, traversing the celestial sphere at an angular rate of 0.190 arcsec yr−1.
HD 175167 b is an exoplanet orbiting HD 175167, which is a G type star within the Pavo constellation 232 light-years away from the Earth. The planet was discovered by the Magellan Planet Search Program as the astronomical object fit the Keplerian orbital model. During the observations 13 doppler velocity tests were conducted, which showed this object's mass was at least 7.8 Jovian-masses and its orbit has a high eccentricity. The exoplanet takes 3.53 years to complete a full stellar orbit.
