History

Hamilton Creek Provisional School opened on 16 November 1908. On 1 January 1909, it became Hamilton Creek State School. It closed in 1972. [4] It was at 50536 Burnett Highway (opposite Golf Links Road, 23°40′29″S150°24′03″E / 23.6746°S 150.4008°E / -23.6746; 150.4008 (Hamilton Creek State School (former)) ). [5] [6] [7] [8]

In the 2016 census, Hamilton Creek had a population of 104 people. [9]

In the 2021 census, Hamilton Creek had a population of 76 people. [1]

Education

There are no schools in Hamilton Creek. The nearest government primary and secondary schools are Mount Morgan State School and Mount Morgan State High School, both in Mount Morgan to the north. [8]
