Shanghai Pudong International Airport is one of the two international airports in Shanghai and a major aviation hub of East Asia. Pudong Airport mainly serves international flights, while the city's other major airport Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport mainly serves domestic and regional flights in East Asia. Located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of the city center, Pudong Airport occupies a 40-square-kilometre (10,000-acre) site adjacent to the coastline in eastern Pudong. The airport is operated by Shanghai Airport Authority.
Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport is the airport serving the city of Dalian in Liaoning Province, China. It is located in Ganjingzi District, about 10 km (6 mi) northwest of the city center. In 2018 the airport handled 18,758,171 passengers, making it the busiest airport in Northeast China and the 24th busiest nationwide. The airport is the hub for Dalian Airlines and a focus city for China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. As Zhoushuizi Airport has reached its designed capacity, the new Dalian Jinzhouwan International Airport is being built on reclaimed land to replace it.
Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport is the airport serving Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. It is located on the east bank of the Pearl River near Huangtian and Fuyong villages in Bao'an District, and is 32 km (20 mi) northwest of the city center. It is a hub for Shenzhen Airlines and Shenzhen Donghai Airlines and for cargo airline SF Airlines, and a focus city for China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. The airport also serves as an Asian-Pacific cargo hub for UPS Airlines. The airport is undergoing major expansions with a second runway completed and opened in 2011 and a new terminal which opened in 2013.
Changsha Huanghua International Airport is the airport serving Changsha, the capital of Hunan province, China, as well as nearby cities such as Zhuzhou and Xiangtan. As of 2016, it is the 13th busiest civil airport in China. Located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) from downtown Changsha in the town of Huanghua in Changsha County, the airport has two terminal buildings. The airport is managed by the Hunan Airport Authority, a publicly owned corporation managing all five airports in Hunan Province. Huanghua airport was opened in August 1989, replacing Changsha Datuopu Airport, which is now a military air base.

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is the principal airport serving Hangzhou, a major city in the Yangtze River Delta region and the capital of Zhejiang Province, China. The airport is located on the southern shore of Qiantang River in Xiaoshan District and is 27 km (17 mi) east of downtown Hangzhou. Wuhan Tianhe International Airport serves Wuhan, the capital of the Hubei province, People's Republic of China. It was opened on 15 April 1995, replacing the old Hankou Wangjiadun Airport and Nanhu Airport as the major airport of Wuhan. Fuyang Xiguan Airport is an airport serving the city of Fuyang in Anhui Province, China. The construction of the airport was controversial as it was instigated by a corrupt official. The construction costs of the airport are reported to be 390 million Yuan, but in 2002, only 920 passengers travelled through the airport. The airport is located a few hundred meters from Fuyang West railway station on the Zhengzhou–Fuyang high-speed railway.

As the only airport in western Jiangxi, it also serves the nearby cities of Pingxiang and Xinyu in addition to Yichun, with a total population of 10 million. It is named after Mingyueshan, a national forest park near Yichun. Construction of the airport began on 26 July 2009. Originally scheduled to open in 2011, the airport opened on 26 June 2013.
Ankang Fuqiang Airport is an airport in Ankang, Shaanxi province, China, located 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) northwest of city center in the town of Wuli, Hanbin District. Proposed as a replacement of Ankang Wulipu Airport, the Fuqiang Airport project commenced in 2013, and its construction began in December 2015, with an estimated total investment of 2.35 billion yuan. The airport opened on September 25, 2020 for public use, as its first commercial flight China Southern Airlines CZ5269 arrived from Guangzhou.
