Jacob Kwashi [1] is an Anglican bishop in Nigeria: [2] he is the current Bishop of Zonkwa, [3] one of 13 dioceses within the Anglican Province of Abuja, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. [4]
Kwashi became Bishop of Zonkwa in September 2011, having previously been Dean of St Michael's Cathedral in Kaduna. [5] His older brother, Benjamin Kwashi is the Archbishop of the Province of Jos. [6]

The Church of Nigeria is the Anglican church in Nigeria. It is the second-largest province in the Anglican Communion, as measured by baptised membership, after the Church of England. It gives its current membership as "over 18 million", out of a total Nigerian population of 190 million. However, it is "effectively the largest province in the Communion." As measured by active membership, the Church of Nigeria has nearly 2 million active baptised members. The Church of Nigeria is the largest Anglican province on the continent of Africa, accounting for 41.7% of Anglicans in Sub-Saharan Africa, and is "probably the first [largest within the Anglican Communion] in terms of active members."
The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) is a Christian denomination in the Anglican tradition in the United States and Canada. It also includes ten congregations in Mexico, two mission churches in Guatemala, and a missionary diocese in Cuba. Headquartered in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, the church reported 30 dioceses and 1,037 congregations serving an estimated membership of 134,593 in 2017. In 2020, the denomination reported 972 congregations and 126,760 members. The first archbishop of the ACNA was Robert Duncan, who was succeeded by Foley Beach in 2014.
The Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON) is a series of conferences of conservative Anglican bishops and leaders, the first of which was held in Jerusalem from 22 to 29 June 2008 to address the growing controversy of the divisions in the Anglican Communion, the rise of secularism, as well as concerns with HIV/AIDS and poverty. As a result of the conference, the Jerusalem Declaration was issued and the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans was created. The conference participants also called for the creation of the Anglican Church in North America, as an alternative to the Episcopal Church in the United States and the Anglican Church of Canada, and declared that recognition by the Archbishop of Canterbury is not necessary to Anglican identity.
The Abuja Province is one of the 14 ecclesiastical provinces of the Church of Nigeria. It is one of the original 10 provinces, created when the current division was adopted in 2002, due to the huge dimension and growth of the Church of Nigeria. His headquarters are located in Abuja. The diocese comprises 17 dioceses, 96 archdeaconries and 476 parishes. The first archbishop and Bishop of the Diocese of Abuja was Peter Akinola, from 2002 to 2010. He was succeeded by Nicholas Okoh, who also held office as Bishop of the Diocese of Abuja from 25 March 2010 to 25 March 2020. The current archbishop is Henry Ndukuba. He was installed on 25 March 2020.
The Jos Province is one of the 14 ecclesiastical provinces of the Church of Nigeria. It was one of the original ten provinces created in 2002. It is divided in ten dioceses, 31 archdeaconries and 137 parishes. Their first Archbishop was Emmanuel Mani who was at that time the Bishop of Maiduguri. He served one term and handed over to Benjamin Kwashi (2008-2017) also the Bishop of Jos.). Archbishop Kwashi handed over to Archbishop Henry Ndukuba who served from 2017 to 2020. The current archbishop is Markus Ibrahim who is also the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Yola. On March 25, 2020, Archbishop Ndukuba took over as the Primate of All Nigeria.
Benjamin Ben Argak Kwashi is a Nigerian Anglican archbishop. He is married to Gloria and they have six children, one of them is also a priest. They have 54 orphans living with them in Jos, Northern Nigeria.
The Anglican Diocese of Mbamili is an African diocese, one of nine within the Anglican Province of the Niger, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. The bishop until 2020 was Henry Okeke when he was translated to Ideato.
The Anglican Diocese of Zonkwa is one of 13 within the Anglican Province of Abuja, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. The inaugural bishop was Duke Akamisoko; and the current bishop is Jacob Kwashi

The Anglican Diocese of Igbomina is one of eight within the Anglican Province of Kwara, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. Bishop Michael Akinyemi, who was also the Archbishop of the Province, retired in 2017 and was succeeded by Emmanuel Adekola, previously Sub-Dean of the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Abuja.
The Anglican Diocese of Kwara is one of eight within the Anglican Province of Kwara, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. The current bishop, appointed in 2017, is Olusegun Adeyemi, who is also Archbishop of the Province.
The Anglican Diocese of Doko is one of eleven within the Anglican Province of Lokoja, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria.
The Anglican Diocese of Maiduguri is one of ten within the Anglican Province of Jos, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. Its first bishop Emmanuel Kana Mani became Archbishop of the Province while the current bishop is Emmanuel Morris.
The Anglican Diocese of Ideato is one of twelve within the Anglican Province of Owerri, itself one of fourteen provinces within the Church of Nigeria. The diocese was created out of the then Okigwe-Orlu Diocese in 1999. The current bishop is Henry Okeke; he was translated from Mbamili in 2020.
The Anglican Diocese of Ekiti is one of twelve within the Anglican Province of Ondo, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria: the current bishop is Christopher Tayo Omotunde who is also Archbishop of the Province.
The Anglican Diocese of Ile-Oluji is one of twelve within the Anglican Province of Ondo, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria: the current bishop is Abel Oluyemi Ajibodu; a former Dean of the Diocese of Lagos West, Ajibodu was consecrated bishop on 24 July 2016 at Archbishop Vinning Memorial Church Cathedral, Ikeja.
The Anglican Diocese of Lagos Mainland is one of 13 within the Anglican Province of Lagos, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. The bishop emeritus is Adebayo Dada Akinde and the current bishop is Akinpelu Johnson; Johnson was consecrated a bishop on 24 July 2016 at Archbishop Vinning Memorial Church Cathedral, Ikeja.
The Anglican Diocese of Niger Delta North is one of 12 within the Anglican Province of Niger Delta, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. The current Archbishop of Niger Delta Province & Bishop of Niger Delta North is The Rt Revd Wisdom Budu Ihunwo.
