Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 17 Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Parliament) constituencies in Telangana state in southern India. [2]

History

Since its inception in 1952 Karimnagar seat is a Congress stronghold, various political outfits like the Telangana Praja Samithi, Bharatiya Janata Party and the Telugu Desam Party have won it during different general elections. [3]

After the formation of Telangana Rashtra Samithi the seat has been won by Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, the founder of TRS during the Telangana Agitation he won thrice from the constituency with huge margin. [4]

Konda Vishweshwar Reddy is an Indian engineer, entrepreneur, and politician. He is the current Member of Parliament in the 18th Lok Sabha from Bharatiya Janata Party Chevella constituency and served as a Member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha from Bharat Rashtra Samithi representing Chevella, Telangana. He is the grandson of K. V. Ranga Reddy after whom the district Ranga Reddy was named.

The Indian state of Telangana was founded in 2014. Its territory had formerly been part of Andhra Pradesh. Jalagam Venkat Rao is a former member of the legislative assembly representing Kothagudem Assembly constituency. He won the 2004 elections from Sathupalli constituency and 2014 elections from Kothagudem constituency.
