Kundara railway station (Code: KUV) is a railway station (NSG 6 category) in the historic industrial town of Kollam, Kundara, Kerala. [2] Kundara railway station falls under the Madurai railway division of the Southern Railway zone, Indian Railways. [3] The station is one of two railway stations in the industrial town of Kundara. [4] Other one is Kundara East railway station.

The Quilon–Shencottah railway line was the first railway line in the erstwhile Travancore state and is more than a century old. The Kollam–Sengottai section is part of the Kollam–Chennai metre-gauge rail route commissioned by the British in 1904. The line has been completely converted to broad gauge and is now fully operational from Kollam Junction to Shengottai.
