The Laurel Central Historic District is a historic district in Laurel, Mississippi, U.S. It includes 369 governmental, commercial, religious and residential buildings designed in the Neoclassical, Shingle, Queen Anne, Bungalow, and American Craftsman architectural styles. [2] It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 4, 1987. [1]

Laurel Grove Cemetery is a cemetery located in midtown Savannah, Georgia. It includes the original cemetery for whites and a companion burial ground that was reserved for slaves and free people of color. The original cemetery has countless graves of many of Savannah's Confederate veterans of the American Civil War. The cemetery was dedicated in 1852. The lawyer and poet Henry Rootes Jackson delivered the dedication address.
Kooser State Park is a 250-acre (101 ha) Pennsylvania state park in Jefferson Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. The park, which borders Forbes State Forest, was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, who also built the 4-acre (1.6 ha) Kooser Lake by damming Kooser Run. Kooser State Park is on Pennsylvania Route 31 a one-hour drive from Pittsburgh. The park is surrounded by Forbes State Forest.
Laurel Hill State Park is a 3,935-acre (1,592 ha) Pennsylvania state park in Jefferson and Middlecreek Townships, Somerset County, Pennsylvania in the United States. Laurel Hill Lake is a 63-acre (25 ha) man-made lake with a dam that was constructed during the Great Depression by the young men of CCC camps NP-5-PA and SP-15-PA. Laurel Hill State Park is 8 miles (13 km) from Interstate 76 just off Pennsylvania Route 31 near Bakersville and on Pennsylvania Route 653 near Trent.

The district includes 701 contributing buildings, 5 contributing sites, 4 contributing structures, and 1 contributing object in the central business district and surrounding residential areas of Laurel. It includes residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings dated from the late-18th century to the 1930s. The residential buildings are mostly frame structures in the "I-house" plan. Most commercial buildings re brick structure and date to the early-20th century. Notable non-residential buildings include the Dashiell Building, Sussex Trust Building, Mellon Bank Building, Laurel Railroad Station, firehouse (1937), the original water company building, more recent town water buildings, U.S. Post Office (1935), Centenary Methodist Church, St. Phillip's Episcopal Church the Methodist Protestant Church, and the I.O.O.F. Meeting Hall.

The district encompasses three contributing buildings in the Fountain Square Commercial Areas of Indianapolis. It developed between about 1871 and 1932, and notable buildings include the Mangold / Roepke Saloon and Buddenbaum Grocery (1879).
