Southeast Asia, also spelled South East Asia and South-East Asia, and also known as Southeastern Asia, South-eastern Asia or SEA, is the geographical south-eastern region of Asia, consisting of the regions that are situated south of mainland China, east of the Indian subcontinent, and north-west of mainland Australia which is part of Oceania. Southeast Asia is bordered to the north by East Asia, to the west by South Asia and the Bay of Bengal, to the east by Oceania and the Pacific Ocean, and to the south by Australia and the Indian Ocean. Apart from the British Indian Ocean Territory and two out of 26 atolls of Maldives in South Asia, Maritime Southeast Asia is the only other subregion of Asia that lies partly within the Southern Hemisphere. Mainland Southeast Asia is completely in the Northern Hemisphere. East Timor and the southern portion of Indonesia are the parts of Southeast Asia that lie south of the Equator.

Putnam County formed in 1812 from Dutchess County and is named for Israel Putnam, a hero in the French and Indian War and a general in the American Revolutionary War.

Brewster is a village and the principal settlement within the town of Southeast in Putnam County, New York. Brewster’s population was 2,508 at the 2020 census. The village, which is the most densely populated portion of the county, was named for two early farmer landowners, Walter and James Brewster, who donated land for the Brewster railroad station in 1848.

The 1995 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Southeast Asian Games, Chiang Mai, 1995, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 9 to 17 December 1995. It was the first time that a non-capital city hosted the biennial sports event. Chiang Mai is the second Thai city to host the Southeast Asian Games after Bangkok. The games were opened and closed by Vajiralongkorn, the then-Crown Prince of Thailand. With the return of Cambodia, all ten members of the federation were present to compete in the SEA Games for the first time.
The 2009 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 25th Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event hosted by Vientiane, Laos. This was the first time Laos had held the Southeast Asian Games as Laos had previously declined hosting the 1965 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games, citing financial difficulties. This was also the first time the Southeast Asian Games was held in a landlocked country.
Longerakvatnet or Longeraksvatnet is a lake in the municipality of Bygland in Agder county, Norway. It has a small dam on the southwest side to regulate the water level for hydro-electric power generation at a plant located down the hill. The lake discharges into the Longeraksåni river which flows into the Byglandsfjorden near the village of Longerak. The 3.4-square-kilometre (1.3 sq mi) lake is located about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) southeast of the village of Lauvdal and about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northeast of the village of Byglandsfjord.
Nelaug is a lake in the municipalities of Froland and Åmli in Agder county, Norway. The 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) lake is formed by a dam which regulates a hydroelectric power plant on the Nidelva river. The village of Nelaug is located near the dam in Froland municipality. The lake is located about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) south of the village of Åmli, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) southeast of the village of Dølemo, and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Blakstad.
East Branch Reservoir, is a reservoir in the town of Southeast, New York, near the village of Brewster. Part of the New York City water supply system, it was formed by impounding the East Branch of the Croton River. Forming part of the Croton Watershed, it was placed into service in 1891, and lies some 35 miles (56 km) north of the city, in the southeast corner of Putnam County.

Songavatnet is a lake in Vinje Municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. It has a surface area of 29.86 square kilometres (11.53 sq mi) and lies at an elevation of 974 metres (3,196 ft). The lake lies just south of the border of Hardangervidda National Park and just southeast of the mountain Vassdalseggi. The villages of Haukeli and Edland are both located about 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) to the south of the lake and the village of Arabygdi lies about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the southeast of the lake. The lake flows out into the river Songa which flows to the southeast into the nearby lake Totak.
