The politics of Liaoning Province in the People's Republic of China is structured in a single party-government system like all other governing institutions in mainland China.

Wang Min is a former politician of the People's Republic of China. He successively served as Communist Party Secretary of Liaoning province, Party Secretary and Governor of Jilin province, and Vice Governor of Jiangsu province. Once considered a promising future leader in the Communist Party, Wang retired from his provincial leadership positions in 2015, before coming under investigation for corruption in 2016. On January 11, 2017, Yu was placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption agency. He was the second high-ranking politician being examined from Gansu province after the 18th Party Congress in 2012.

Li Xinhua is a retired Chinese oil executive and politician who served as deputy general manager of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) from 2007 to 2013 and vice-governor of Yunnan from 2003 to 2007. He has retired for almost six years. He was investigated by China's top anti-graft agency in March 2019.

Song Liang is a former Chinese politician who spent most of his career in north China's Inner Mongolia. As of February 2021 he was under investigation by Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. Previously he served as the Executive Vice Governor of Gansu. Song was the second leader of provincial-ministerial level to be targeted in 2021, after Li Wenxi, former vice chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

The 20th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party , officially the Central Committee of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, comprises 205 members and 171 alternates. It was elected at the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s 20th National Congress on 22 October 2022, and its term lasts until the election of the 21st Central Committee at the 21st National Congress, which is planned for 2027. The Central Committee is the party's highest decision-making body in a given period, is not a permanent body, and convenes for an unspecified number of times.

The Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party is the provincial committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Guangdong Province. The CCP committee secretary is the highest ranking post in the province. The current secretary is Huang Kunming, a member of the CCP Politburo, who succeeded Li Xi on 28 October 2022.
