List of Arabian cities by population

This is a list of cities on the Arabian Peninsula by population, based primarily on national census estimates of the number of residents residing within the limits of a municipality (i.e. city proper); if recent official data is unavailable, reputable non-governmental estimates are used instead. The minimum population for a city to be included is 500,000. The geographic definition of Arabia is used, encompassing the countries of Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen in their entirety, as well as the island nation of Bahrain and the southern regions of Iraq and Jordan. [note 1] C stands for Census, E stands for estimate.

Taiz is a city in southwestern Yemen. It is located in the Yemeni highlands, near the port city of Mocha on the Red Sea, at an elevation of about 1,400 metres (4,600 ft) above sea level. It is the capital of Taiz Governorate. As of 2023, the city has an estimated population of approximately 940,600 residents making it the third largest city in Yemen.

Al Qunfudhah, also known as Kunfuda, is a Saudi city in the Tihamah region on the coast of the Red Sea. Its population is the fourth largest in Makkah Province, the area of the governate is estimated at 5,195 km², which occupies about 3.65% of the area of the region and is ranked ninth among the governorates of the region in terms of area. It is also one of the large sea ports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea. Al Qunfudhah was founded in 1311 A.C-709 Hijri according to the ancient sources.

Islam is historically divided into two major sects, Sunni and Shia Islam, each with its own sub-sects. Large numbers of Shia Arab Muslims live in some Arab countries including Lebanon, Yemen, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, the UAE, and Qatar.

Saihat City is a city located on the east coast of Saudi Arabia, with a population of 84,818 in 2022.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">21st Arabian Gulf Cup</span> 2013 football competition held in Bahrain

The 21st Arabian Gulf Cup was the twenty-first edition of the biennial football competition. It took place in Bahrain in January 2013. The competition was originally scheduled to be hosted in the city of Basra, Iraq, but was moved to Bahrain in October 2011 to ensure that Iraq could suitably host the competition in the 22nd edition.
