Nick Rivera Caminero, known by his stage name Nicky Jam, is an American singer. He is best known for hits such as "X", "Travesuras", "El Perdón", "Hasta el Amanecer", and "El Amante"; the latter three are from his 2017 album Fénix. He has frequently collaborated with other Latin artists such as Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Ozuna, Plan B and Anuel AA. While his early music exemplified traditional fast-paced reggaeton, his newer compositions place more emphasis on sung vocals and romantic lyrics.

It was released by Columbia Records on March 9, 1998, as the second single from the album, and became the official song of the 1998 FIFA World Cup held in France. A primarily Spanish language samba-rooted Latin pop song, it carries a football-heavy message with fully positive lyrics.

"Together Now" is a collaboration between French composer/producer Jean Michel Jarre and Japanese composer/producer Tetsuya Komuro. It was the France 1998 FIFA World Cup theme song. Olivia Lufkin was the vocalist and the lyricist for this song. "Together Now" also features as track 15 of Music of the World Cup: Allez! Ola! Ole!. However, the single was only retailed in Japan. Surprisingly, despite both Lufkin and Tetsuya Komuro being under Avex, the single itself was released under SMEJ. The single reached number 32 on the Oricon charts and charted for 10 weeks.

"Wavin' Flag" is a song by Somali-Canadian artist K'naan from his album Troubadour (2009). The song was originally written for Somalia and aspirations of its people for freedom. The original single was a hit in Canada and reached number two on the Canadian Hot 100 as the second official single from the album, after the single "ABCs", a minor hit. After an earthquake in Haiti in 2010, a remake of the song by an ad hoc supergroup of Canadian artists, credited as Young Artists for Haiti, became a charity single in Canada, reaching number one on the Canadian Hot 100 in its own right.

Era Istrefi is a Kosovo-Albanian singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Pristina, she rose to international recognition with the breakthrough single "BonBon", which experienced commercial success worldwide and received various certifications. She later signed contracts with record labels Sony Music and Ultra Music. In 2018, Istrefi performed the official song for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, alongside Nicky Jam and Will Smith, at the closing ceremony of the grand final in Moscow. Her discography includes works in Albanian and English, among others "Shumë Pis", "Redrum", "Nuk E Di" and "Live It Up". Istrefi has received a number of awards and nominations, including the European Border Breakers Award and Top Music Award.

Nesër released it as a single for digital download and streaming in the United States on 30 December 2015. A dance-pop, dancehall, EDM and R&B song, its Albanian-language lyrics imply a message of empowerment and self-love. The song received widespread acclaim from music critics, several of whom praised the music and lyrics as well as Istrefi's appearance. Some praised Istrefi's vocal delivery, likening it to Rihanna or Sia. The song became Istrefi's breakthrough single, topping the charts in Albania and reaching the top 10 in four other countries. It is a Spanish dancehall song, featuring a synth trumpet hook and elements of reggae, reggaeton, Latin pop and Afrobeats. A Spanglish version of the song was released on April 27, 2018. On June 28, 2018, a remix version featuring vocals by artists Maluma and Ozuna was released. The accompanying audio was also released on Nicky Jam's YouTube channel on the same day. The song topped the charts in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Bolivia, El Salvador, Panama, Paraguay and Peru. Nicky Jam performed the song solo during the 2018 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony.

Since the Albanian singles chart's inauguration in 2015, four of Istrefi's singles have reached the top 10 in Albania, with "BonBon" and Redrum topping the ranking in 2016 and 2017. She started her career after releasing her debut single, "Mani për money", in 2013. Her breakthrough single, "BonBon", followed in 2016, reaching the top 50 in multiple countries, including Australia, Denmark, France, Germany, Romania and Switzerland. It further received certifications, among others gold in Canada, Italy and the Netherlands as well as platinum in France.

The song was released as a single for digital download and streaming on 15 February 2019 by Epic Amsterdam and Smash The House. Interpolating Toto's "Africa", it is a dance-pop, electro-pop and moombahton love song, displaying the romantic affection of a couple that cannot resist keeping their hands off of each other.
