Luxembourgian Brazilians refers to Brazilian citizens of full, partial, or predominantly Luxembourgian ancestry, or Luxembourg-born immigrants in Brazil.

Luxembourgian immigration to Brazil occurred mainly around 1828, when nearly 1,000 Luxembourgers settled there. [4]

A Portuguese Luxembourger or Lusoburguês is a citizen of Luxembourg that either was born in Portugal or is of Portuguese ancestry. Although estimates of the total Portuguese Luxembourg population vary, on January 1, 2021 there were 94,335 people in Luxembourg with Portuguese nationality, this number excludes many more of Portuguese ancestry or naturalized Luxembourg citizens. They constitute 14.9% of the population of Luxembourg, making them the largest group of foreigner citizens living in the country.

Louis Rech; born Luigi Rech; was a Luxembourgish politician and trade unionist. A member of the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party, Rech served as Mayor of Dudelange between 1985 and 1993.

Luxembourg–United States relations Bilateral relations

The United States, fighting on the Allied side, contributed to Luxembourg's liberation in World War I and World War II. More than 5,000 American soldiers, including U.S. Army General George S. Patton, are buried at the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial near the capital of Luxembourg City, and there are monuments in many towns to American liberators. Soldiers from the United States and Luxembourg fought side by side in the Korean War. The strong U.S.–Luxembourg relationship is expressed both bilaterally and through common membership in NATO, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

Ernest Toussaint was a Luxembourgian boxer who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics. He was born in Rumelange.

Luxembourgian Canadians are Canadian citizens of Luxembourger descent or Luxembourg-born people who reside in Canada. According to the 2016 Census there were 3,915 Canadians who claimed full or partial Luxembourgian ancestry.
