On 1 March 2022, the Russian military airport in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, Russia was allegedly attacked during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. According to the Russian Armed Forces, an OTR-21 Tochka originating from Ukraine, was shot down over Taganrog causing no destruction or damages. [3] The Ukrainian Armed Forces did not officially comment or claim responsibility for this attack.

2022 Donetsk attack

The 2022 Donetsk attack was a missile attack in the center of Donetsk, Ukraine during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, which the Donetsk People's Republic authorities said was carried out by Ukrainian forces. The attack occurred at around 11:31 local time on 14 March 2022, targeting Universitetskaya Street and Artyoma Street in the centre of Donetsk. The missile was shot down by air defence. Preliminary information given by DPR officials stated that the attack left 20 civilians killed and 9 wounded. Later the toll was updated to 23 killed and 28 wounded.

Battle of Avdiivka (2022) Battle in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine

The Battle of Avdiivka is a ongoing military engagement between the Russian Armed Forces and Donbas Separatist Forces on one side and the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the other. It is being fought over the town of Avdiivka, located in the Donbas Region. Fighting started when violence erupted again in the Donbas and on 21 February, Russian president Vladimir Putin recognized the Donetsk People's Republic, and the separatists started fighting again with Ukraine. Avdiivka was where the former Battle of Avdiivka was fought in 2017 and was destroyed, but was still held by Ukrainian forces. Later when Russia invaded Ukraine, Avdiivka was one of the first places to be attacked.

Attack on Belgorod Missile attack in 2022

On 29 March 2022, local officials reported a series of explosions outside the Russian city of Belgorod, close to the border with Ukraine. It was later reported that those explosions may have been caused by a fire. On 7 April, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation claimed that the explosions were the result of a Ukrainian attack that used 3 Tochka-U tactical ballistic missiles. 8 people were injured and 21 vehicles were destroyed.

Kramatorsk railway station attack 2022 missile attack by Russian forces in Ukraine

A missile strike by Russian armed forces hit the railway station of the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk on 8 April 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. As of 14 April, Ukrainian officials reported that 59 people were killed and 109 wounded as a result of the attack.

Several explosions were reported on 14 April 2022 in the Bryansk and Belgorod Oblasts of Russia, which claimed that the destruction was caused by Ukrainian airstrikes. Ukraine has denied responsibility, asserting that the 'attacks" are part of Russian propaganda.
