Melliza Xaviera Putri Yulian (born May 21, 1999) is an Indonesian model, general practitioner, activist, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2025. [3] [4] She will compete in 63rd Miss International in Japan. Melliza previously competed in the Abang None Jakarta 2019 competition and was selected as the main winner. [5] [6] [7]
Melliza was born on May 21, 1999, in the province of Special region of Yogyakarta. [1] She is the youngest of three siblings from a Malay and Javanese couple, her father is from Sumatra and her mother is from Surabaya, East Java. Melliza grew up in the administrative city of East Jakarta.
Melliza has completed her high school education from SMA Negeri 21 Jakarta from 2013 to 2016. She then continued her higher education at the Faculty of Medicine at the National Development University "Veteran" of Jakarta, but decided to resign. In 2017, Melliza was accepted into the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (UI) for the Medical Education program. [8] [9] In 2021, Melliza graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (S.Ked) degree with Cum Laude honors. Two years later, she successfully graduated for the Medical Profession with a Doctor of Medicine degree (dr.) from the same university. [5] [2]
Melliza made her pageant debut by being selected as a contestant for Abang None Jakarta 2019. She became the third female representative (None) for the South Jakarta administrative area. The election event was held on July 12, 2019, at the Jakarta Convention Center in Central Jakarta. [5] At the end of the event, she was successfully announced as the main winner of None Jakarta 2019―paired with Muhammad Abror from East Jakarta as the winner of Abang Jakarta 2019. [10] [11] [12]
In 2025, Melliza participated in the audition and selection of participants for the DKI Jakarta province for the Puteri Indonesia 2025 pageant at Graha Mustika Ratu, Jakarta, where she was finally successfully selected as one of the winners of the selection. After successfully winning the title of Puteri Indonesia DKI Jakarta 1 2025, Melliza has the right to represent the province of DKI Jakarta in the national beauty contest Puteri Indonesia 2025. After successfully qualifying as one of the provincial representatives with the title of Puteri Indonesia DKI Jakarta 1 2025, Melliza represented the province of DKI Jakarta in the national beauty contest Puteri Indonesia 2025. The pageant was held at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta International Convention Center in Central Jakarta on May 2, 2025, which coincided with National Education Day. [13] [14] [15]
On the coronation night, Melliza managed to qualify for the last sixteen, last six, and last four rounds until she was announced as the winner of the title of Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2025. [16] [17] She was crowned by the previous title holder; Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2024, Sophie Kirana from the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Previously, Melliza was announced as the winner of the Best Catwalk award, 2nd Runner-Up Best in Evening Gown, and Puteri Indonesia Photogenic. [18]
Melliza will represent Indonesia at Miss International 2025, to be held on 25 November 2025 in Tokyo, Japan. She is the fourth Indonesian doctor from the last five years to compete in the pageant, following Ayu Saraswati (2020; withdrew), Cindy May McGuire (2022), and Farhana Nariswari (2023).
Meliza is an advocate and philanthropist. She initiated the "Happiness Project Indonesia" program, a campaign focused on mental health–dedicated to helping individuals find sources of happiness and achieve their self-actualization potential. [19] [20] This movement is based on her experience as a doctor and the observation that happiness affects a person's health. Melliza has been developing this program since 2019–it has collaborated with several non-profit organizations (NPOs), non-governmental organizations, local governments, and fundraised with Kitabisa.
