Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 was the third edition of Miss Asia Pacific International after its 2016 re-launch.

Contents

The pageant was held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, in Manila, Philippines on October 4, 2018, with fifty-one women from around the world, competing for the crown. [2]

Former winner, Francielly Ouriques of Brazil crowned Sharifa Akeel of the Philippines as the pageant winner.

  1. Costa Rica was dethroned because she competed at Miss Eco International 6 months later despite a contract that she cannot compete at any pageant within a year. Mongolia and Venezuela went up the rankings and Netherlands was given the 4th runner-up position.

Angelia Ong of the Philippines crowned her successor Katherine Espín of Ecuador at the end of the event becoming the second Ecuadorian woman to win the title of Miss Earth and the first since Olga Álava in 2011.

Miss World 2016, the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 December 2016, at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Maryland, United States. 117 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Mireia Lalaguna of Spain crowned her successor Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. It was the second time that the Miss World pageant held in the United States. It was the second time where Puerto Rico won Miss World, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975.

Miss International 2017, the 57th Miss International pageant, was held on November 14, 2017 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Kylie Verzosa of the Philippines crowned her successor Kevin Lilliana of Indonesia at the end of the event. This edition also saw the crowning of the first ever moslem women to win Miss International, and was the first to win one of the four major international pageants for Indonesia.

Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 (MAPI) is a beauty pageant in Asia. It began in the 1960s, the oldest in Asia. It is based in the Philippines with forty-two women from all over the world. In 2016, Miss Asia Pacific International came under new ownership and management.

Miss Earth 2018, the 18th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, with the theme "Goddesses of the Earth", was held on November 3, 2018, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Karen Ibasco of the Philippines crowned her successor Nguyễn Phương Khánh of Vietnam at the end of the event. This is the first time Vietnam won the Miss Earth pageant, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants. Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 was the 50th edition of Mutya ng Pilipinas. It was held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines on September 16, 2018.

Sharifa Mangatong Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel or Sharifa Akeel is a Filipino model who was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International 2018. Previously, she was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018. In the 2022 Sultan Kudarat gubernatorial election, she ran for the province's governorship, losing to Datu Abdullah Sangki Mayor Pax Ali Mangudadatu.

Miss Asia Pacific International 2005, formerly titled Miss Asia Pacific Quest in 2003, the 36th Miss Asia Pacific International pageant, was held on 9 April 2005 at Guangzhou, China where 51 candidates competed for the title. Tatyana Nikita of Russia crowned her successor Leonora Jiménez of Costa Rica at the end of the contest.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand International 2019</span> 7th Miss Grand International competition, beauty pageant edition

Miss Grand International 2019 is the 7th edition of Miss Grand International pageant, was held on October 25, 2019, at Poliedro de Caracas in Caracas, Venezuela, where for the first time in the pageant history the host country delegate won the crown. The nineteen-year-old Valentina Figuera was the first Venezuelan representative to win the title since the establishment of the contest. As was normal for the event, she was crowned by her immediate predecessor, Clara Sosa of Paraguay.
