Nunatsiaq Island is an uninhabited island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada. It is located in Davis Strait, southeast of Baffin Island's Cumberland Peninsula and north of Auyuittuq National Park Reserve. Other islands in the immediate vicinity include Alikdjuak Island, Idjuniving Island, Kekerturnak Island, Manitung Island, and Nedlukseak Island. [1]
Iqaluit Airport serves Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada and is located adjacent to the city. It hosts scheduled passenger service from Ottawa, Montreal, Rankin Inlet, and Kuujjuaq on carriers such as Canadian North, and from smaller communities throughout eastern Nunavut. Nunavut is the largest, easternmost, and northernmost territory of Canada. The Penny Ice Cap, formerly Penny Icecap, is a 6,000 km2 (2,300 sq mi) ice cap in Auyuittuq National Park of Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada. It forms a 2,000 m (6,562 ft) high barrier on the Cumberland Peninsula, an area of deep fjords and glaciated valleys. It is a remnant of the last ice age. During the mid-1990s, Canadian researchers studied the glacier's patterns of freezing and thawing over centuries by drilling ice core samples.
Bishop Island is a Baffin Island offshore island located in the Arctic Archipelago in the territory of Nunavut. The island lies in Frobisher Bay, approximately 13 km (8.1 mi) southwest of Iqaluit. Hill Island and Faris Island are in the immediate vicinity.
Duke of York Bay is an arm of Foxe Basin, in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada. It is located in northeastern Southampton Island. The bay is directly south of the southern end of Qikiqtaaluk, with Comer Strait at the western entrance and Falcon Strait at the eastern entrance.

Dundas Harbour is an abandoned settlement in the Qikiqtaaluk Region, Nunavut, Canada. It is located on Devon Island at the eastern shore of the waterway also named Dundas Harbour. Baffin Bay's Croker Bay is immediately to the west.
Rymer Point is a cape in the Canadian Arctic territory of Nunavut. It is located on southwestern Victoria Island's Wollaston Peninsula, facing the Dolphin and Union Strait. Clouston Bay is situated along the north shoreline. Nuvuk Point is on the southwest side, jutting into Simpson Bay.
Cape Christian is a land point on eastern Baffin Island, in Qikiqtaaluk Region, Nunavut, Canada. The nearest settlement is Clyde River to the north. Cape Christian was used as a weather station. From 1954 until 1974, it was also an Arctic military site that was run by the U.S. Coast Guard as a LORAN station which supported ships and aircraft that operated out of Thule, Greenland.
