Ortigas North station is a planned station on the Metro Manila Subway Line 9 . Like all other Line 9 stations, the station is underground. The station is planned to serve the northern portion of the Ortigas Center business district in San Antonio, Pasig City, where it derives its name.

Metro Manila Subway Line 9, formerly known as the Mega Manila Subway, is an underground rapid transit line currently under construction in Metro Manila, Philippines. The 36-kilometer (22 mi) line, which will run north–south between the cities of Quezon City, Pasig, Makati, Taguig and Pasay, will serve fifteen stations between the Quirino Highway and FTI stations. It will also serve as the country's second direct airport rail link, with a branch line to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The line is designed to connect with the other urban rail transit services in the region, including Line 1, Line 3, and Line 7 at the North Avenue Common station, which is also currently under construction; the existing Line 2 and Metro Commuter Line; and the planned Line 5 and Line 8.

Ortigas Center is a central business district located within the joint boundaries of Pasig, Mandaluyong and Quezon City, within the Metro Manila region in the Philippines. With an area of more than 100 hectares, it is Metro Manila's second most important business district after the Makati CBD. It is governed by Ortigas Center Association, Inc.

The station is planned to be located underneath Meralco Avenue, a major road in the district, along its northern intersection at Ortigas Avenue beside the Metrowalk complex.

Meralco Avenue is a north-south thoroughfare located in Ortigas Center in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It links Ortigas Avenue in the north and Shaw Boulevard in the south and borders the western edge of Valle Verde in Ugong. It is named for the Manila Electric Company, also known as Meralco, which is headquartered on the avenue's junction with Ortigas Avenue. Other notable businesses on Meralco Avenue include UnionBank Plaza, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, Ayala Malls The 30th, Metrowalk and the mixed-use development called Capitol Commons at the former Rizal Provincial Capitol lot on Meralco and Shaw Boulevard.

Ortigas Avenue is a 15.5 km highway traversing through the eastern part of Metro Manila and the western part of Rizal province. It is one of the busiest highways in Metro Manila.

Metrowalk is a small but major commercial hub in Pasig in the Philippines. It is located on a 5,000 square metre parcel of land at the junction of Ortigas and Meralco Avenues in the Ortigas Center central business district of the metro.

The station is slated to open in 2025, when the line commences full operations [1]

Manila Metro Rail Transit System

It originally began as a single line that was first opened in 1999 and became fully operational by the year 2000. Since then, most of the newly proposed rapid rail lines within Metro Manila that are not under the jurisdiction of the Light Rail Transit Authority is associated with the "MRT" brand.
