Tandang Sora station is a planned station on the Metro Manila Subway Line 9. The station will serve the Tandang Sora area in Quezon City. The station is named after Tandang Sora Avenue, which intersects the station.

Metro Manila Subway Line 9, formerly known as the Mega Manila Subway, is an underground rapid transit line currently under construction in Metro Manila, Philippines. The 36-kilometer (22 mi) line, which will run north–south between the cities of Quezon City, Pasig, Makati, Taguig and Pasay, will serve fifteen stations between the Quirino Highway and FTI stations. It will also serve as the country's second direct airport rail link, with a branch line to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The line is designed to connect with the other urban rail transit services in the region, including Line 1, Line 3, and Line 7 at the North Avenue Common station, which is also currently under construction; the existing Line 2 and Metro Commuter Line; and the planned Line 5 and Line 8.

Quezon City is the most populous and a highly urbanized city in the Philippines. It was founded by and named after Manuel L. Quezon, the 2nd President of the Philippines, to eventually replace Manila as the national capital. The city was proclaimed as such in 1948. However, since practically all government buildings are still in Manila, many functions of national government remained there. Quezon City held the status as the official capital until 1976 when a presidential decree was issued to reinstate and designate Manila as the capital and Metro Manila as the seat of government.

Tandang Sora Avenue is a major east-west thoroughfare bisecting Quezon City in Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is a two-to-six lane highway and municipal road that runs for 9.6 kilometres (6.0 mi) from its eastern terminus at Magsaysay Avenue in Matandang Balara and U.P. Campus in Diliman to its western terminus at Quirino Highway in Baesa and Talipapa in Novaliches, crossing the Quezon City villages of Culiat, New Era, Pasong Tamo, Tandang Sora and Sangandaan in Districts III, IV and VI.

This station should not be confused with the Tandang Sora station of the Manila Metro Rail Transit System Line 7, located along Commonwealth Avenue.

The Manila Metro Rail Transit System Line 7, also known as MRT Line 7, or MRT-7, is an under-construction rapid transit line in the Philippines. When completed, the line will be 22.8 kilometers long serviced by 14 stations. The line runs in a northeast-southwest direction, beginning at San Jose del Monte, Bulacan up to the under-construction North Avenue Grand Central station located in North Avenue, Quezon City. The line will traverse Quezon City and Caloocan in Metro Manila, and is envisioned to spur business and commerce at its inter-modal terminal station in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. According to the latest update, the project is 40.44% complete as of February 28, 2019.

Commonwealth Avenue, formerly known as Don Mariano Marcos Avenue, named after the father of President Ferdinand Marcos, is a 12.4-kilometer (7.7 mi) highway located in Quezon City, Philippines, which spans from 6 to 18 lanes and is the widest in the Philippines. It is one of the major roads in Metro Manila and is designated as part of Radial Road 7 (R-7) of the older Manila arterial road system and National Route 170 (N170) of the Philippine highway network.

The station is planned to be one of the first three stations built for the line's opening of partial operations by 2022 [1]

The new roads opened in 2000.

The National Route 129 (N129) or simply Route 129 is a secondary national route in Metro Manila that forms part of the Philippine highway network. It comprises Congressional Avenue, Congressional Avenue Extension, portion of Luzon Avenue, portion of Tandang Sora Avenue, and portion of Katipunan Avenue; most of them are part of C-5 with the exception of EDSA-Mindanao Avenue segment.

The station would be the second direct airport rail link in the country, after the North-South Commuter Rail link to Clark International Airport.
