The Our Lady of the Ozarks Shrine is a Roman Catholic religious shrine in rural northern Crawford County, Arkansas. It is located on the west side of United States Route 71, south of Winslow. The shrine includes a small church, rectory, parish hall, and several cast stone statues including one of Saint Therese. The shrine was erected in the 1940s through the efforts of Clara Muxen, a Roman Catholic nun who sought to expand the church's ability to serve Catholics in the area. [2]

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019, where it is incorrectly listed in Washington County. [1]

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, also known as St. Mary's Catholic Church, is a historic church just north of Altus, Arkansas. It is located on Franklin County Road 521, just outside the city limits. The Romanesque church building was built in 1902. The church is known for its Sistine Chapel-style paintings and grand Roman Basilical architecture. Brown stone blocks cover the outside of the church, and the inside walls are lined with ornate gold leaf. The organ inside the church is over 100 years old, as is the bell tower. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows is a historic Roman Catholic church located at Starkenburg, Montgomery County, Missouri. It is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. In addition to Stations of the Cross and two grottos, the shrine includes the Church of the Risen Savior (1873), Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows (1910), and Log Chapel (1888). The Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows replaced an earlier 19th century log church, which was retained on the site as a chapel. The shrine was built by a congregation of mid-19th century German immigrants and their descendants. The Church of the Risen Savior is a Gothic Revival style limestone block structure. The bell tower was added in 1891.

The Muxen Building is a historic former school building in rural Crawford County, Arkansas. It is located on the west side of United States Route 71 south of Winslow, and next door to the Our Lady of the Ozarks Shrine. It is a single-story stone structure, built out of local fieldstone and set on a concrete foundation. It is covered by a broad hip roof with exposed rafter ends and projecting balconies on two sides. It was built to house a craft school founded by Clara Muxen, a Roman Catholic nun whose inspiration also led to the construction of the adjacent shrine.
