Overton is a former civil parish, now in the parish of Malpas, in the Cheshire West and Chester district and ceremonial county of Cheshire in England. In 2001 it had a population of 68. [1] Overton was formerly a township in the parish of Malpas, [2] in 1866 Overton became a separate civil parish, [3] on 1 April 2015 the parish was abolished and merged with Malpas. [4] It is the site of a deserted village, a scheduled monument, [5] [6] the sole remains of which are earthworks.
