The Shire of Plantagenet is a local government area in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, managed from the town of Mount Barker, 360 kilometres (224 mi) south of Perth and 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of Albany. The shire covers an area of 4,792 square kilometres (1,850 sq mi) and includes the communities of Narrikup, Rocky Gully, Kendenup and Porongurup.
Lake Muir is a rural locality of the Shire of Manjimup in the South West region of Western Australia. The South Western Highway forms the south-western border of the locality while the Muir Highway forms its northern one. Parts of Shannon National Park as well as most of Lake Muir National Park and all of Lake Muir and Boyndaminup National Park are located in the locality of Lake Muir.
The Shire of Cranbrook is a local government area in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, about 92 kilometres (57 mi) north of Albany and about 320 kilometres (200 mi) south-southeast of the state capital, Perth. The Shire covers an area of 3,277 square kilometres (1,265 sq mi), and its seat of government is the town of Cranbrook.
Pingrup is a small town and locality in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. It is one of two localities in the Shire of Kent, the other being Nyabing, covering the west of the shire.
Rocky Gully is a small town and locality of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. A large part of the south of the locality is covered by the Mount Roe National Park. Additionally, the Tootanellup Nature Reserve is also located within Rocky Gully.
Milpara is a north-western suburb of Albany in southern Western Australia. Its local government area is the City of Albany. The western boundary of the suburb is formed by the Albany Highway.
Coomalbidgup is a town and locality of the Shire of Esperance in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. It is located on the South Coast Highway and the Southern Ocean. Almost the entire coast of the locality is covered by protected area, with the Stokes Inlet and the Stokes National Park in the west and two unnamed nature reserves in the east.
Middlesex is a rural locality of the Shire of Manjimup in the South West region of Western Australia. The locality's western border is formed by the South Western Highway while the Muir Highway forms its eastern border. A small section of the Sir James Mitchell National Park is also located within Middlesex.
Perup is a rural locality of the Shire of Manjimup in the South West region of Western Australia. The Muir Highway forms the southern border of the locality while the Perup River runs through Perup from north to south. The south-eastern corner of Greater Kingston National Park sticks into the north of the locality.
Smith Brook is a rural locality of the Shire of Manjimup in the South West region of Western Australia. The South Western Highway forms the western border of the locality, with sections of the Sir James Mitchell National Park located either side along the highway. The Smith Brook, a small river, runs through the locality from north-west to south-east and enters the Warren River at its south-eastern boundary, which the latter forms. The Smith Brook Nature Reserve is also located within the north-west of the locality.
Millbrook is a locality of the City of Albany in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The King River forms the south-western border of the locality. The Mill Brook runs through the locality from north to south before flowing into the King River at its southern border. The Mill Brook Nature Reserve however is located further upstream, in the locality of Green Valley.
Woogenellup, sometimes also spelled Woogenilup, is a rural locality of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The eastern border of Woogenellup is formed by Chester Pass Road, while the southern boundary of the Stirling Range National Park forms its northern border. The Kalgan River runs through the locality from north-west to south-east, and the Kalgan Plains Nature Reserve is located within Woogenellup, south of the river.
Forest Hill is a rural locality of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The Muir Highway passes through the locality from west to east, as does the Hay River. The Pardelup, Pardelup Road, Kwornicup Lake and Wamballup Nature Reserves are located within Forest Hill. Pardelup Prison Farm is also located within Forest Hill.
Denbarker is a rural locality of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Denbarker borders the Mount Roe National Park in the south-west and the Mount Lindesay National Park in the south.
North Stirlings is a rural locality of the Shire of Gnowangerup in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. It borders Stirling Range National Park to the south. All of Formby Nature Reserve and the eastern part of the Camel Lake Nature Reserve are located within the south of North Stirlings.
Kentdale is a rural locality of the Shire of Denmark in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The South Coast Highway and the Kent River form much of the southern border of Kentdale, with the Owingup Nature Reserve located along the river.
Parryville is a rural locality of the Shire of Denmark in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, on the shore of the Southern Ocean. The South Coast Highway runs through the north of Parryville, and the Owingup and Quarram Nature Reserves are both partially located in Parryville.
Shadforth is a rural locality of the Shire of Denmark in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The South Coast Highway forms much of the southern border of Shadforth. The Mount Shadforth Nature Reserve is located in the south of Shadforth, south of the mountain, Mount Shadforth.
West River is a rural locality of the Shire of Ravensthorpe in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The South Coast Highway passes through the locality from west to east. West River borders the Fitzgerald River National Park to the south and the townsite of Fitzgerald to the west. The West River and the Hammersley River originate in the locality. The Long Creek Nature Reserve as well as an unnamed nature reserve are located in the north of West River.
Monjingup is a locality of the Shire of Esperance in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The South Coast Highway and the Kalgoorlie to Esperance railway pass through Monjingup while the Coolgardie–Esperance Highway forms its eastern border. The western part of the townsite of Shark Lake is located in the north-east of Monjingup, while the Lake Warden Nature Reserve is located in the south-east.
