Woogenellup, sometimes also spelled Woogenilup, [2] is a rural locality of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The eastern border of Woogenellup is formed by Chester Pass Road, while the southern boundary of the Stirling Range National Park forms its northern border. The Kalgan River runs through the locality from north-west to south-east, and the Kalgan Plains Nature Reserve is located within Woogenellup, south of the river. [3] [4]
Woogenellup is located on the traditional land of the Menang people of the Noongar nation. [5]
The Kalgan Plains Nature Reserve was gazetted on 4 March 1960, has a size of 0.52 square kilometres (0.20 sq mi), and is located within the Mallee bioregion. The Corackerup Nature Reserve was gazetted on 17 May 1963, has a size of 43.34 square kilometres (16.73 sq mi), and is located within the Esperance Plains bioregion. [6]
Pingrup is a small town and locality in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. It is one of two localities in the Shire of Kent, the other being Nyabing, covering the west of the shire.
Dalyup is a town and locality of the Shire of Esperance in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. It is located on the South Coast Highway and the Southern Ocean. The Lake Mortijinup Nature Reserve as well as two unnamed nature reserves are located in Dalyup.
Jingalup is a town and locality in the Shire of Kojonup, Great Southern region of Western Australia. Jingalup is located between the towns of Kojonup and Cranbrook, on Murrin Brook, which is a tributary of the Tone River. The locality is home to the Jingalup and South Jingalup Nature Reserves.
Takalarup is a locality of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The Stirling Range National Park forms its northern border and the Kalgan River runs through the south-west of the locality. The Chillinup Nature Reserve is located within Takalarup, as is a small section of the South Stirling Nature Reserve.
Coomalbidgup is a town and locality of the Shire of Esperance in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. It is located on the South Coast Highway and the Southern Ocean. Almost the entire coast of the locality is covered by protected area, with the Stokes Inlet and the Stokes National Park in the west and two unnamed nature reserves in the east.
Mettler is a locality of the City of Albany in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, located along the Southern Ocean. The South Coast Highway passes through the northern part of the locality. Mettler is home to two nature reserves, the Mettler Lake Nature Reserve and the Basil Road Nature Reserve, while the far eastern end on Hassell National Park extends into the west of the locality.
Palmdale is a rural locality of the City of Albany in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The Kalgan River forms the western boundary of the locality, with the Granite Hill Nature Reserve stretching along the river in the north of Palmdale.
Napier is a rural locality of the City of Albany in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The Kalgan River forms the north-eastern boundary of the locality, with the Granite Hill Nature Reserve stretching along the river in this section. The Napier Nature Reserve is also located within Napier. Chester Pass Road passes through Napier from south to north.
Wansbrough is a rural locality of the Shire of Broomehill–Tambellup in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The Great Southern Highway and the Great Southern Railway run through the locality from north to south, while the Gordon River forms its north-eastern boundary. The Wansbrough and the Beejenup Nature Reserves are fully located in the locality, while the far northern end of the Balicup Lake Nature Reserve protrudes into the south of Wansbrough. The small eastern part of the gazetted townsite of Pootenup is located in Wansbrough, while the western part is located in Cranbrook, with the border running parallel to the railway line.

Perillup is a rural locality of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The Muir Highway passes through the locality from west to east while the Kent River passes through its north before forming much of its western border. Most of the locality south of the highway is taken up by the Mount Roe National Park while, to the north of the highway, the Randell Road and the unnamed WA11343 Nature Reserves are located.
Forest Hill is a rural locality of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The Muir Highway passes through the locality from west to east, as does the Hay River. The Pardelup, Pardelup Road, Kwornicup Lake and Wamballup Nature Reserves are located within Forest Hill. Pardelup Prison Farm is also located within Forest Hill.
Mobrup is a rural locality of the Shire of Kojonup in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The Tone River forms the majority of the north-western border of the locality. The Cootayerup, Mininup, Mongelup, Wandoora and Yetterup Nature Reserves are all located within Mobrup, as are two unnamed nature reserves.
North Stirlings is a rural locality of the Shire of Gnowangerup in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. It borders Stirling Range National Park to the south. All of Formby Nature Reserve and the eastern part of the Camel Lake Nature Reserve are located within the south of North Stirlings.
Monjebup is a rural locality of the Shire of Gnowangerup in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The Pallinup River forms the southern border of Monjebup. The Greaves Road Nature Reserve is located in the south-west of Monjebup, while the Monjebup Reserve is located in the north.
West River is a rural locality of the Shire of Ravensthorpe in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The South Coast Highway passes through the locality from west to east. West River borders the Fitzgerald River National Park to the south and the townsite of Fitzgerald to the west. The West River and the Hammersley River originate in the locality. The Long Creek Nature Reserve as well as an unnamed nature reserve are located in the north of West River.
Monjingup is a locality of the Shire of Esperance in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The South Coast Highway and the Kalgoorlie to Esperance railway pass through Monjingup while the Coolgardie–Esperance Highway forms its eastern border. The western part of the townsite of Shark Lake is located in the north-east of Monjingup, while the Lake Warden Nature Reserve is located in the south-east.
Wittenoom Hills is a rural locality of the Shire of Esperance in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. A substantial part of the locality is covered by nature reserves, established in 1966 and 1974. The Wittenoom Hills are a range of hills with Mount Burdett, 271 metres (889 ft) high, as its most prominent point.
