The SAFF U-18 Championship is a biennial football championship for male footballers under the age of 18 and is organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The championship was held for the first time in August 2015 in Nepal. [1] Previously the official name was SAFF U-19 Championship for the first edition, now it has been changed to SAFF U-18 Championship from 2017 edition since most teams send their U-18 team keeping in mind AFC U-19 Championship qualification.

CONCACAF Under-20 Championship Football tournament

The CONCACAF Under-20 Championship is the second longest running international association football event in the North America, Central America and the Caribbean region, CONCACAF, and is the qualification tournament for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The SAFF U-15 Championship is an annual international football competition contested by the national teams of the members of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Previously, the official name was SAFF U-16 Championship, since most teams use to send their U-15 team, keeping in mind AFC U-16 Championship hold every following years to SAFF U-16 Championship, now it has been changed to SAFF U-15 Championship from the 2017 edition onward. The first edition of the tournament took place in Nepal in August 2011. The competition was launched under the leadership of SAFF President Kazi Salahuddin who was elected in 2009. Previous SAFF president Ganesh Thapa had failed to add any additional tournaments other than the senior SAFF Championship to the SAFF regional football calendar.

Bangladesh national under-20 football team represents Bangladesh in international youth football competitions in SAFF U-18 Championship, AFC U-19 Championship and FIFA U-20 World Cup, as well as any other under-20 & under-19 international football tournaments. The team is operated under the Bangladesh Football Federation.

2017 SAFF U-18 Championship International football competition

The 2017 SAFF U-18 Championship was the 2nd edition of the SAFF U-18 Championship, an international football competition for men's under-18 national teams organized by SAFF. But since most teams use to send their U-18 team keeping in mind 2018 AFC U-19 Championship qualification it has been officially changed to U-18 tournament. The tournament was hosted by Bhutan 18–27 September 2017.

The SAFF U-15 Women's Championship is association football tournament for women's national teams under the age of 15. The tournament is organized by South Asian Football Federation (SAFF).

The SAFF U-18/U-19 Women's Championship is a biennial international association football tournament for women's national football teams under the age of 18, governed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). All the seven teams of the member associations are eligible to compete in tournament, unless sanctioned by AFC or FIFA.

2021 SAFF Championship International football competition

The 2021 SAFF Championship, known as Ooredoo SAFF Championship 2021 for sponsorship reasons, was the thirteenth edition of the SAFF Championship, the biennial international men's football championship of South Asia organised by South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Initially, it was decided to be hosted by Pakistan in 2020, but was postponed to September 2021 in Bangladesh. However, the tournament was postponed again to October due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Maldives as host.

The 2019 SAFF Women's Championship was the 5th edition of the SAFF Women's Championship, the biennial international women's football championship contested by the national teams of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Initially, scheduled from 17 to 26 December 2018 in Sri Lanka, the competition was rescheduled, as Sri Lanka withdrew as hosts. Afterwards, it was scheduled to be held in 2019 from 12–22 March and to be hosted by Nepal.

Mosammat Mishrat Jahan Moushumi is a Bangladeshi professional women's footballer who plays as a midfielder or winger for both the Bangladesh Women's Football League club Bashundhara Kings Women and the Bangladesh women's national football team. Currently, she is the captain of the Bangladesh women's national U19 team which won the 2018 SAFF U-18 Women's Championship. She was also the member of AFC U-14 Girls' Regional Championship – South and Central winning Bangladesh U-14 team in Nepal in 2015. She played all matches at 2017 AFC U-16 Women's Championship qualification which held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
