Muktar Ahmed Mohammed Aruwa was a Nigerian senator. He was first elected to the senate in 1999 as a representative of Kaduna State for the All People's Party (APP). Aruwa sat on several senate committees and opposed the privatization of public enterprises. He was re-elected in 2003 as a member of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP),the successor to the APP. He was involved in a dispute over committee appointments,claiming unfair play by the senate leadership. Aruwa's name was dropped from the ANPP party list for the 2007 election.

Bello Muhammad popularly known as Bello Matawalle is a Nigerian politician and teacher who has served as the minister of state for defence since 2023. He previously served as the governor of Zamfara State from 2019 to 2023.
The 2019 Kaduna State gubernatorial election occurred on March 9,2019. APC candidate Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai defeated main opposition party PDP's candidate,Isah Ashiru,to emerge winner of the contest. APC was said to have won 14 LGAs,PDP nine.
The 2003 Kebbi State gubernatorial election occurred on April 19,2003. ANPP candidate Adamu Aliero won the election,defeating PDP Saidu Samaila Sambawa and 2 other candidates.
The 2023 Kebbi State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023,to elect the Governor of Kebbi State,concurrent with elections to the Kebbi State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third term.
The 2023 Nigerian Senate elections in Kebbi State will be held on 25 February 2023,to elect the 3 federal Senators from Kebbi State,one from each of the state's three senatorial districts. The elections will coincide with the 2023 presidential election,as well as other elections to the Senate and elections to the House of Representatives;with state elections being held two weeks later. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.
